    Although it's only 2 months, this injury can have a massive effect on how things pan out for him.

    He's back with us now and I'd hope when fit he would be sent straight back to ICT.

    If he stays here he won't play this season and the lack of game time will cause a massive detriment to his development and ability to challenge for a place next season.

    Out for two months,another month getting back into training....not much point going back to ITC then.
    Would be better staying here and getting ready for us...we need all the new blood we can get.

    Just unfortunate he's missed out on 15-20 first team games which would have had him well placed to slot in.

    CELTIC can confirm that it will exercise the option of bringing Ryan Christie back to the club in January, ending his season-long loan spell with Inverness Caley Thistle.
    The Hoops signed the 20-year-old from Inverness back in August on a four-year contract. He was immediately allowed to return to his former employers on a temporary arrangement.
    And the attacking midfielder- who was voted Scotland’s Young Player of the Year last season by the Scottish Football Writers’ Association – will now be aiming to make an impact for the Scottish champions once he recovers from injury, which he sustained for the Highlanders back in November.

    Although I don't doubt for a second it will be used to appease people when we don't sign anyone in January 'but we have Christie which is as good as a new player' :56:

    Ain't it the truth and somewhere in the Press release will be a mention of Leigh Griffiths' new contract, Stokesy coming in from the cold and us reducing our wage bill with the likes of Derk leaving. Don't know why Peter doesn't just do a copy/paste from previous Press releases and change the names.

    Now and again, Christie has played a fair amount out wide especially for Scotland U21's.
    He is quicker and more skilful than Armstrong as well.

    End of january.

    I'm looking forward to seeing him as well. The improvement in Caley when he came on at Parkhead earlier in the season was marked.

    He Isn't quicker, not really the skill full type either he's a flair player and moves with a lot of guile - much more suited to playing through the middle.
