If Christie's had to have surgery because Mongo booted him in thr baws, I could see why the press would be quiet on that front. Not saying for a second it's true, but if it were then they spent the whole week's run up to the game releasing powder puff feel good articles about the *.

Anyhoo to the guy who asked what happened...

Supposedly there was a rammy in the tunnel after the game. Morelarse is supposed to have booted Christie in the baws. John Kennedybis supposed to have been knocking huns out left right and centre, and the word in the sewers is that Lennon's supposed to have shat himself and ran into the dressing room whilst this was all happening.

Take of that what you will...

Strange also that the animal was escorted by Hun security scum straight out the ground without going near the dressing room...

... and directly to airport for a connection to Bogotá.

Must be desperate for his own bed!
    Yer own mattress and that...

Some of these rumors look like the workings of a person with overactive imagination, to put it mildly. I'd like to hear what Christie says- what he believes caused the injury.

Think we have enough motivation for the next match with them, which can only be a good thing..

Move on and be in the strongest position possible the next time we face the Scum.

People actually believing this Christie/Morelos *.

Not a single word mentioned until McGowan reported he had surgery after a ‘tussle’ with Morelos. People then start making * up because the Huns made * up about racism.

McGowan literally says in the article that Christie tried to play on through the pain barrier but ended up getting replaced with ten minutes to go meaning it happened on the pitch.

The reaction to the game on Sunday has been a complete embarrassment.

Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy assures Ryan Christie should be ready to return in "a matter of weeks".

The midfielder had groin surgery after the defeat to Rangers last weekend, and his involvement in the winter training camp in Dubai will be limited.

Record Sport Online revealed that the injury was not as serious as initially feared and the Hoops star would return before the end of January.

And Neil Lennon 's right hand man has now confirmed that time frame and the Scotland international will be back in action by the end of the month.

Kennedy told Sky Sports News: "He's OK.

He obviously had a setback after the game and had minor surgery on his groin area, which hopefully won't keep him out for too long.

"Hopefully it's a matter of weeks rather than anything longer than that.

He'll probably miss a chunk of this week but hopefully once we get back he'll be quickly up to speed and he won't have missed too much football.

It's minor, we don't envisage too many problems."

In other words, Ryan Christie looks set to be our next player to be destroyed by ongoing injury issues.

He’s such a combative midfielder he’ll always have some niggles, strains and the like.
His high energy, pressing style, is something which will inevitably lead to him visiting the treatment table more often. Especially when he gets older.

He has a knee problem as well..

I'd like to see him get dropped back deeper in the second half of the season with a 10...Mo, Rogic or someone if fully fit being there instead..

Christie is class for us but I still feel like we miss a spark in that department and we're also more open in midfield when he's a set 10. I think back to Leipzig at home where he was absolutely everywhere and immense as a box to box. His best role for me and us..

JOHN KENNEDY insists the SFA are CRAZY to charge Ryan Christie for grabbing Alfredo Morelos where it hurts.

Christie stands accused of deliberately injuring the Rangers’ striker by swiping at his privates during last weekend’s Old Firm clash.

The incident wasn’t spotted by referee Kevin Clancy at the time — but Christie is now facing up to the prospect of a two-match ban at a disciplinary hearing set for Hampden on Monday.

Hoops No 2 Kennedy has slammed the decision to charge the midfielder

Kennedy said: “I didn’t know about it until later when somebody told me. I find it very surprising.

The incident itself? I have seen these situations before, what they are trying to accuse him of if you are static in the box at a corner kick and are marking somebody and you do a fly one

But to be involved in the game and somebody goes by you, to accuse him of trying to grab him by the genitals is crazy.

“Ryan is not that type of player for a start. He has genuinely gone in and he goes by him

What naturally happens is you try to grab something. It just so happens that it was what it was.

“I would be astounded if he is found guilty of it and they follow through with the charge.

“If that is the case then there will be numerous cases throughout the season where somebody grabs or accidentally touches somebody.

“You can see with the speed of the game your first reaction is sometimes to grab the first thing that goes by you.

That is what happened. Ryan is not that type of player and I will be very, very surprised — astonished actually — if anything comes of it.

“You have to take the person into consideration here. Ryan is not that type of player at all.

If you put it into the context of the game and what is happening at that time, somebody has gone past him.

“At the time, nothing was made of it. Morelos didn’t make anything of it to Ryan or anybody else about him.

“I think that speaks volumes in itself.”
