Christie was absolutely immense last night - chasing every ball, never giving the opponents a moments piece and he must have covered every blade of grass.

Reminded me a bit of Keane's performance in '99 in the UCL semi final against Juventus.

Christie is fast becoming as crucial to our team as French Eddie.....increase wages and extend contract or if he keeps going EPL clubs will be sniffing around

His press is like nothing you really see elsewhere, I cant think of any player who presses like that. Attitude and fitness is nothing but exemplary.

Wanted a more technically gifted #10 for Europe, but Christie probably showing now that the type of energy he brings, something generally a technical #10 wouldn't have as much of, is just as important.

He’s got plenty technical ability as well but I think what makes his stand out is his awareness and reading of the game, always finds the space and presses at the right time.

ICT fans rubbing their hands with glee in anticipation of their cut of any transfer fee.....seems they see Celtic as a stepping stone for Christie .......

He does, definitely a naturally gifted player, always has been. It's his energy, fitness, pace and reading/awareness like you say though that has propelled him into a starting berth.

Pressing at the right time is interesting. I look at him all the time thinking you cant press there on a full size pitch, when he's steaming towards a centre half, but it so often causes rushed hoofs up or out the park. He should be easy enough to pass around at times you'd think, but it must come down to his timing. Very good.

Now that forrest's contract is just about sorted we need to get Christie tied down on a bumper long term deal. Avoid another Armstrong situation.
