Wonderful day. England and France will improve, Ireland have nowhere to go but down which tbh I can’t see happening, Italy are now the new kids on the block and the money they have invested in their system is now paying off. Scotland are not far off and have the manager to keep them competitive. Wales are * for a few years but Gatland will turn it around. Next year could be outstanding imho.

Nest Season

 

A lot of really good entertaining games in the championship again this season. Would expect more of the same next season and see no reason why not.

 

That second half was incredible stuff. I thought right from the start of the second we looked really good but credit Scotland's defending especially goal line defense. To do that for almost the whole second half and not fall apart was an amazing effort on their part but Ireland still get there in the end and fully deserved the win and back to back titles. Looks like that will be Peter O'Mahony's last game for Ireland based on his body language so what a way for such a great player to finish his international career too.

 

Well done the Scotland Women’s team!! Beating Wales away yesterday, I really enjoyed the battling win, our 7th straight win after 12 straight defeats before that, just shows in all sports never give up and keep giving it all.

Good luck to them against the Bulls down in South Africa. I was hoping for a repeat of the 2019 final with Leinster and Glasgow when it was played at Celtic Park that year but not to be we were just not good enough against the Bulls last weekend although it was tight.

 

On another note went last night for the first time to a MLR game here in the US last night with a buddy of mine from Australia. The Chicago Hounds playing the San Diego Legion. Decent game with Chicago winning 22-16. What was cool for me was it was played at the old Chicago Fire stadium so brought back lots of good memories from my time there. Also the Hounds gear albeit made by kappa is green and white hoops! Nice bonus after the game was a chance to get on the pitch to meet up with the Hounds star winger who is Dave Kearney the former Leinster and Ireland wide man. Had a nice wee chat with him.
