What a result as I don't think we were that good at all..

    Great defensively though..

I'm not a rugby man but I like to watch Scotland in this tournament however, I particularly like to watch us beating england as their MSM always blow smoke up their arses in the same way they do with their football team. Well done Scotland:scotland:

Plenty of times we’ve played well against England and been in their 22 for large periods of the game and came away with * all...today was different - showed bottle and won the hard way with a solid defence.

You’ve got to wonder if this is a good opportunity for us to win it even though we only have 2 home games this year...we’ve obviously got to fancy our chances against Italy away and after watching Wales today I thought they were quite poor.

Potential decider on Paddy’s weekend against Ireland in Dublin?

Probably favourites to win the tournament but let the home games take care of themselves. A replication of the performance in Paris last year will do for me

Just in from the game. Atmosphere in the first half was weird but we couldn’t get any of the ball to be fair.

Second half much better. I didn’t think we played great overall, but England weren’t really trying to play any rugby and were constantly slowing it down.

It’s usually the case that we’ll play decent and take nothing, so I’ll definitely take the reverse here.

England were physically stronger and bullied us a bit. That can't be helped - just got to ride the rough and strike intelligently when you get the opportunity (which we did).

The play that saw the Penalty Try awarded was exceptional!

I'm getting a wee bit concerned about all the hype surrounding this Scotland team.

It's the best Scottish team in many a year and there's no doubt they can give anyone a game on their day, but there are frailties. The game against Wales is not the gimme that some are making it out to be - nowhere near it. Yes, I can see a situation where we run riot, but I can also see a situation where Wales embrace the 'riot' and unleash their own running game during the chaos! They're maybe not the team they once were, but Wales are no walkovers... their boys can fair throw a rugby-ball around and scrap! And especially in Cardiff!!!

A Scotland win would be an incredible feat - I'll gladly take a one-point victory!

Yeah, Wales are going to be terrible or brilliant, with the home crowds support I worry they will raise their game and blow us away.
I hope I am wrong again!

It will have to be one heck of a turn around from Wales really. The scoreline last weekend for us in beating them actually flattered them. If we had of been more clinical in the 22 with our possession it could easily have been 40-7 or something like that instead of the 29-7 it ended up. Granted they are at home so that certainly will be a factor but this is a great chance for Scotland to win in Cardiff.

The score did flatter Wales, but the danger in using that result / performance as a gauge for the game V Scotland is that Ireland are leagues ahead of Scotland at present.

France v Ireland is going to be absolutely * brutal. Edwards and Farrell have these sides defensive lines set up like league sides. Famous last words but I think this will be tight, a mistake or touch of genius will win it imho.

With Sexton out injured I think as good as we have been you have to give France the edge especially with home advantage and how bad a record we have in Paris. The winner is IMHO clear favourite to win the 6 nations this year.

    Depends which France turns up.

For me, Ireland are the favourites - we know how good they are and they are always consistent.

    Totally agree.

Again agree but those French centres are brutal, can see a lot of kicking but sexton is a big miss.

Be amazed if we manage to beat the Welsh in front of 75k sheep today and their squad hurting big time. Be a bigger result than last week by far.

I don't keep up with the Rugby beyond the 6 Nations each year, and I know Ireland are probably the favourites to win this year, but Ireland made them look bang average. I can see Scotland grinding out a win.
