Pretty poor game all round I thought. Lions had the winning of it but made error after error at key moments and gave away way too many penalties. The wining of the game for me was the Springboks scrum in the second half.

 

Agree re the scrum. Thought Curry and Williams were awful, too. Watson can be very aggrieved at not starting over the former.

 

I quite like rugby union but don't understand anyone supporting the "lions" seems to me to be a statement of colonialism and britishness

The blame for the poor performances lie mostly with Gatland. He got the game plans completely wrong!

Don't watch the rugby usually, watch Scotland games in 6 nations sometimes but was on the phone to my old man earlier and honestly thought he was having a heart attack or something, then he came back on the phone saying we'd scored a try. Pure arguing with him about it after.

Watched the Scotland first 40 earlier and that Russell penalty miss was a big moment on half time..

 

Some very, very good rugby in the Autumn Nation Series. The Ireland v New Zealand game is the best game I've seen in a long while. More please!
