It was betwee getting Keane or GS staying a'd definetly without a shawdow of a doubt keep GS. We don't really need Keane, he's not a bad player but he's gettin on a bit and very injury prone.

Don't beleive that GS would leave if Keane comes to CP,How much Money is Keane going to be on and the biggest Question on my Lips is Petrov Leaving hope not ffs and who is funding the deal!

Doubt the board would hire Keane if GS was gonna walk. Even they realise how good the team is becoming under Strachan. If Keane wants to bcome part of that cool but they would'nt get him if he disrupted GS in any way.

Celtic are remaining tight lipped over the Roy Keane rumour that he is heading to Paradise.

This is an ominous sign, as I would expect Celtic to deny rumours straight off if they aren't true. GS has been pretty honest with the fans in that he will deny something instead of the normal "no comment".

Looks like the rumours are true....might as well sign him, no doubt he will strengthen the team.

Keane is a great player and GS is doing great as manager. Both are professionals and can work together. In saying that Keane is injury prone although his comign to Celtic Park will boost our team / squad and Keane's experience will definately help the likes of Petrov and the younger players.

I would like to see Keane come to Celtic Park but not at the expense of Gordon Strachan.

Im pretty Sure GS said in one of his interviews he would love to have him here hes a quality player.

Good news hopefully this will put scottish football back on the map along with the gers in europe. Celtic signing Manchester United golden boy and Rangers getting into the knockout stages of champions league. it would bolster the game in Scotland big time.

Would he be worth the hassle and maybe the disruption, also who would GS drop, you could'nt see Keane sitting on the bench.

Keano would be welcomed anywhere apart from Sunderland! GS will welcome him with open arms and he will have to fight for his place like everyone else.

He will know what to expect if he comes to Celtic and will have to get on with it like everyone else. I am sure he has already taken a cut in his pay packet.

I dunno about his fitness, that would have to be assessd. He's been out with a broken foot for about 3 months now so still abit of work to get back match fitness. When do we play hearts BTW?

Its still all speculation at this stage

gerrymceltic, did you ever see the 'iceland game'

It said on the radio that celtic have offered around 30k/year plus royalties on merchandise sold with his name on it. Him and Petrov in centre midfield for next season, with naka and one of the young lads on the wings, thats unbeatable in the spl!
