well with bobo being away in january for the African games i heard that keano will slot in centre back. this leaves lenny in his midfield position! i just hope that all the bhoys have to fight for their place inthe team, am sure with strachen they do, as long as my firey irish Ginger midfielder is playing i dont care! mon the hoops, welcome keano, cant wait 2 c the bhoys playing rangers on the 11 of feb now! wat a game that will b!

Not meaning to seem like a * here however my friends dad has just text and said that Keano has signed, don't ask where how and why he knows, I'm just telling you what I have been informed. Dont get excited as I dont know how reliable his source is.

A big name singing to Celtic can only be a boost I suppose in terms of our reputation in the rest of Europe (and I think after Bratislava that's what we need). I'm a little concerned that GS isn't too keen on Keane though(no pun intended), and his hefty wage demands supposedly going to be paid straight from Des's pocket can surely only aggrevate the Petrov situation. In my opinion, Petrov's wage demands highly outweigh those of a 34 year old who's playing ability still remains to be seen.

This is all about the short term cash Keane's signing brings. Merchandising, Merchandising, Merchandising!! Sorry to say, Petrov doesn't bring that to the club

But would the short term cash not be levelled out by the long term loss (wages)? I thought Celtic were trying to reduce debt?

If he was to sign he wont be able to play until the new years trip to hearts when the window opens.and its been said that dermot desmond will finance the deal himself. this may mean paying part/all his wages too! Is that showing fairness? I hope doesnt walk straight into the team just because of who he is and fights for a place like everyone else. Imo i dont think he will sign but ill give him the same chance as everyone if he does..

I love Keano, but would rather see DD pay Stan's improved wages than Keane. Does this set a precedent? Because our major shareholder is paying his wages does it mean Keane will be a first pick?
As stated I'm a huge Keane fan, but if it's at the cost of Petrov and possibly Strachan then I won't be in favour of it.
We all laughed at Hearts and their Dictator/Chairman, if DD is paying Keane's wages will we see similar things at CP?
    I hope not.

Just hope hes not coming to CP to get Money hope hes coming coz of what he said about Celtic being his bhoyhood hero's(great player+leader but for the Chair-Man to pay some of his wages:43: always thought each-player gets the same treatment no-matter who they are when it comes to pay wages into a account and if the storys are true about GS leaving if Keano came i can't see GS leaving a team at the top of the league(remember this is the first time in his career as manager that his team is number-1-in the league:yeah: we all know Keano is a fab player but can he hack our league bhoys and ghirls
