Only just are the majority accepting Strachan as being the real deal and already we are now worrying he is gonna be poached away.

Can we not just enjoy the manager while he is here. For the record I am pretty sure he will be here for a while yet. all this "my sources" rubbish. If you are gonna state that then say what they are, dont just hide behind it.

As for Keane being die hard Celt. I can only reiterate what others have said, he aint no die hard. He likes the club, nothing more. For a start he would choose Man U over Celtic any day of the week. He would be a great manager though, in a few years when he has cut his teeth.

Doesn't matter if Keanes a Celtic man or not. He couldn't have hoped for a better start to his managerial career, and if he keeps it up i'd say he will be easily good enough to become our manager at some point. Theres just something about the guy that makes me believe he'd be a success in anything he does. He's a born leader and a born winner, and i for one would love to see him given a chance with us.

That's not to say it will be any time soon tho. I have a hunch that by the time he takes Sunderland as far as he can before needing a fresh challenge, Strachan will have done all he can at Celtic and we'll be looking to freshen things up. Obviously it's a wild prediction, but it's not unlikely that it might happen.

Keano WILL be our manager at some stage, i don't think there's any doubt about that.

Glad to hear so much sense re: Keane and all this favouring your own type nonsense. To be honest even if I was going in for this type of nepotism approach, I think Tommy Burns 2nd coming would be a far better bet. Keane would not be an experienced enough option for at least 4 or 5 years IMO and even then only if he does really well in that period. As far as I can think, the current managing ex-Tim with the most (reasonably high level) front-line managment experience is Davie Moyes. I dont think he woudl be a disaster but why restrict ourselves to the old bhoys club. Conclusion: dont look for an ex-Tim to replace WGS if he moves in the next year or two.

    First class post

I see Roy Keane being our Boss one day too

He has first class player management skills, all the other players respect
him as a man, and for what he has achieved in the game.

The fact of the matter is, he was able to persuade Anthony Stokes to go to Sunderland rather than Paradise, speaks volumes for his motivational skills..

And I believe he is a Die Hard Tim, my folk are from Cork, and they always told me that Keano supported Celtic since he was a nipper..

If Roy Keane's such a die hard Celtic fan then why did he only play for us for the last 6 months of his career. Just cause he's irish doesn't make him a Celtic fan. When i think of Celtic diehards names like Bill McNeil and Paul McStay spring to mind. Not Roy Keane.

In Dublin a couple of years ago on a Champions League night. Terrible trouble trying to find a pub showing the Celtic game. All the Irish wanted to watch Man. U.

Roy Keane could verywell end up as Man Utd`s coach or Celtic`s, but in the meantime well done Gordon Strachan keep it going as long as you can! :50:

I'll take all you V's too buddy...only too willing :50:

All I am saying is that WGS must be ahead of MON and Keano
for the Man Utd job,.... giving his magnificent track record as a manager
    already

And let's face it..Ferguson is getting a bit long in the tooth..

Stranger things happen in life and football :celt_2:

If WGS does go...I reiterate...... I want Keano as his replacement, and
I believe the vast majority of Celtic fans would want that too :50:

Gordon Strachan has done a tremendous job and I don't get the feeling that he is going anywhere anytime soon either.
One day though Roy Keane might be Celtic manager. He certainly gives the impression that he is going to develop into a top class manager and has done an outstanding job in his first season at Sunderland.
