Pretty standard performance tonight, not outstanding, but we did the job. Never really looked too troubled 2nd half. Defence still doesn't fill me with confidence, Wilson's header out when they hit to post pretty much summed up his clearences. Not good enough. Any 2 from Rogne, Mulgrew and Wanyama from now on, please. I would also like to know what the deal is with Commons. I can understand that he hasn't exactly shown his form of last year, but I'm completely bemused as to why he hasn't even made the bench last 2 games. Still, good performance, good result, and a terrific huns result to go some way to easing the pain from Sunday.

Will not be convinced until we beat some decent teams. These type of wins remind me of a 14 yr old boy playing beating a 9 year old.

I remember reading somewhere not too long ago that he's actually quite shy and modest away from the football pitch, so he probably doesn't appreciate all of the media attention. He seems like one of those guys that would rather just show up, do the best he can to help his team to victory and go home, before repeating the process.

Either way, I love oor Hooperman :50:

I thought charlie was great last night, and imo we looked stronger in defence when he went to cb, we need to keep him there

Imo it the interviewer made it difficult for hooper cause it was like
    Guy: how was that ?
Hooper : yeah it was good , especially after a tough game on Sunday
Guy : how tough was it after Sunday ?

It was stupid question after stupid question . I love how he said " after losing to them "

I think he's quality , even when he doesn't appear to be in form he bangs then in

He was going mental at Maj for his persistant attemps at long passes. Even when Hooper scored he was still going off his nut at him.

I know for a fact he is majorly * off with Maj standing square when folk are coming on to him.

Yeah, i saw that. We need players with fire in their stomachs like that.
I'm sure he was more commanding than Kayal throughout the game.

Charlie Mulgrew is the man. How much more assured did our defence look with him at the heart of it. Charlie Mulgrews * army:icon_mrgreen:.

Not an inspiring performance but I must admit I was feeling a bit worried after how scrappy those first 10 minutes were and notciing how windy it was as well as the monsoon rain. I was thinking * this has all the ingredients for a shock. But once Hooper scored other then the one long range effort that hit the post we never looked like getting in trouble. Nothing special performance wise but good enough on the night in difficult conditions. Credit to Kayal and Mulgrew in particular who really looked up for it on the night.
