He’s not shown himself a better option than Welsh tbh, people are just hoping that he is. Last season Welsh when he came in at points was a better more reliable option.

Trusty needs a run and if he's going to be a first choice he needs a shot at creating a partnership when CCV is back. I hope he gets a run in the team in the meantime.

Other than that I'm not sure what they Taylor situation is. He might get swapped our for Valle. Given it's the last game before the break I can't see us making too many changes.

He's definitely not. Welsh was honking against Falkirk though. Seems to have went backwards. It's definitely closer, even without any meaningful game time by Nawrocki.

Go back and watch him against Aberdeen last season. It was a performance that Du Wei could give a run for his money.

He replaced Welsh new year game against the Huns, gave two free kicks edge of the box pure panic defending, one which they scored from. The only time he was good was his first two games next to CCV.

Welsh is ahead of him for a reason, people just really would hope for a guy we signed for a decent fee that surely he’s better. He’s just not. Last year people were saying this bout Rocki and Scales.

    "He's definitely not." == I agree with @Liam Scales

    Think you misread my response.

Aw *, thought that was aimed at my post before saying Welsh is ahead in the pecking order :56:

Falkirk game he was very poor, Trusty was as well, Valle also was, Kaspar Schmiechal not at the best we’ve seen. There was a lot in that game, looked like a team cobbled together with a lot of match sharpness missing. And very surprised at just how good they played as well.

    Schmeichal

    Ralston Trusty Scales Valle

    Calmac

    Bernardo Hatate

    Kuhn Idah Maeda

Engels to come on early 2nd half for whoever is the worst in the midfield 3. Bernardo was shocking on Tuesday but didn’t hide, Engels absolutely hid like *. That’s unacceptable and a wee reminder of that being the case and the price we paid doesn’t mean he’s not going to be judged same as the rest will do him good, hopefully 2nd half comes on with a point to prove annoyed.

    See what his mentality is.

Was all for Ralston starting but with Taylor out I suspect we'll see AJ from the start with Tony coming on later. Gives us a bit more stability at the back whilst Valle and Trusty are still settling.

On Rocki, didn't he make the bench ahead of Welsh last weekend?

That’s a good point on both counts, Welsh’s showing against Falkirk might have changed the ranking or yet again one game and he’s out with a knock.

I like Welsh, like his attitude and when he first came into the team thought a lot of promise. We’ve squandered that by not allowing him out for first team football, despite some very good options to do so, for the 4/5 games we needed a reliable 4th choice. It should have been a youth player that option for they games, he should have been playing 40 games or so elsewhere a season a couple of years. Now he’s like many others, underplayed to learn the game on our bench.
