Seems like our strikers are injured more often than those say 10 or 20 yrs ago; do you think that training is tougher these days and players are more like athletes hence why aye picking up more strains? In the old days of a few pints and a chippy after training hardly anyone got injured. Mind seeing hartson leaving Celtic park in his Range Rover one midweek afternoon scoffing a burger; scored 2 a couple of days later against the sheep!

ofcourse they have to be athletes

back when hartson sutton thomson were here they were so far ahead of anyone else in scotland that they didnt need to be in top shape, noticeable when the went back down south they failed miserably, well that and they were getting on in age but mostly because of not being tested enough and therefore letting themselves go a bit, aslong as we beat rangers and were winning no one could grumble but that wouldnt be the case in a stronger league

and imo in scandinavia in particular they are utmost professionals, very disciplined, never get carried away with their own egos and are honest to a fault as the saying goes they dont allow themselves to be deluded

we could learn a lot from them tbh

    "Worst RosenbOrg team in years"
Have you followed us? The pessimistic rosenborg-users that have been here before me may have tricked you, but the reality is that before our current coach, who got the job in 2014, we didnt even win the league for 5 years. Ok, we gave been a little weak at the start of this season, but we're getting better and better. You should still be favourites, but we clearly showed in the game at your ground that we are no walk in the park.

We get annoyed when teams belittle us. Our fans can be just as bad at times with sides..this is gonna be tough.

Rodgers' comments in the press the past couple of days show he is a bit concerned IMO. Need Griffiths in there.

That was our single worst performance since the start of last season where we went unbeaten even still you couldn't beat us when we are in pre season and your half way through yours.

I agree if you talk about the previous seasons. This year though Rosenborg have been playing poorly for most of the season. If there was a proper challenger I think Rosenborg would have struggled to win the league. But it was a good game on wednesday and it is of course very possible to win against this Celtic team. We'll have to make that fitness advantage count.

No question about it even if we had Griffiths and or Dembele fit up front we would still have had to work very hard to break Rosenberg down although I think we would have won the game with one of them fit and playing up top thus allowing also Rogic to play in his preferred number 10 position. Griffiths being fit for the return game next week is absolutely vital for us.

If we had Dembele or Griffiths playing on Wednesday, we'd have took 3 off Rosenborg.

I know we weren't up to much, but they (overall) looked particularly awful.

If Griffiths plays we will take a few off them maybe 2-1 to us.
If he is injured can see it can see it going to extra time.

Awful? Rosenborg came to your ground and did what they had to do. I look forward to see your excuses if Celtic gets eliminated on wednesday. You can of course whine about Dembele and Griffths. But a team of Celtics capacity should at least have some young strikers to put on when there are injuries.

In no way were they awful.

They managed to cut us open a few times and really should have scored 1 or 2 goals. Well organised at the back and tidy enough on the ball.

No world beaters, but not awful in the slightest.

Fully agree here. Rosenborg is by no means world beaters. But a capable team that deserves some respect for what they achieved on a diffcult ground. If Celtic wins on wednesday I will be the first to congratulate you and wish you good luck in the playoffs.
