Can’t see Salzburg lying down, they will still need a point to guarantee winning the group and getting a potentially easier last 32 tie

Agreed. it is odd what is going on with the bookies. But I just do not see Salzburg rolling over in this one. As you say they still need at least a point to guarantee they move on. I can see them maybe settling for a point if it is level late on but I don't see them just not showing up.

Will be an interesting selection especially in midfield. I think we may see the same central 3 as we did yesterday with Brown and Rogic coming off the bench.

Can they not still go out if Leipzig win and we beat them 2-0 at Celtic Park? That would be three teams on 12 points wouldn't it? And potentially Salzburg could still lose head to head v both us and Leipzig?

We have 5 really good midfielders, Brown,Ntcham,Rogic,McGregor and emergence of Christie who's playing like he can't be dropped , battling for 3 positions.

Without a doubt its great to see. Plus given how heavy a fixture list we have it really is just what we need in the heart of our midfield.

    Actually it's unlikely

If Leipzig win by 2 goals then Leipzig will have a better head to head over Salzburg if they both end up on 12 points. However we are currently behind both and even if we beat Salzburg 2-0 we need to overturn the current 11 goal deficit goal difference. If they lose two against Leipzig and us then that will be down to 5, but then we scored lesser goals (4 compared to 14). So basically that means we need to win by 6 goals against Rosenberg on Thursday or win both our remaining 2 games then by 3 goals! Bottom line is if all 3 teams finish on 12 pts and it goes down to goal difference, then we will likely be the one to miss out.

Best case scenario is we win against Roserberg and Salzburg win against Leipzig, resulting up needing only a draw in the final game against Salzburg. But for some reason I think the Salzburg - Leipzig game will finish 0-0:42:, which leaves us needing to win against Salzburg.

Leipzig was the test of our season and we passed so I'm going to go against my usual euro nerves and say we have to focus and determination to do a job over there no bother, results go our way just think of how massive the last match will be.

Salzburg far better than leipzig but Salzburg are 13/5 at home and leipzig 10/11

    Very odd

They are a more experienced Europa League side but Leipzig have better players all over the park.

A perfect example being Salzburg have Israel’s main striker, Leipzig have Germany’s. Werner >>> Dabbur.

Yep I agree Werner is better but Salzburg are better passing team and work well as unit , they will win the group.

That was just an example, there are plenty of them throughout the relative squads.

Topping the Group doesn’t mean anything other than Salzburg will have been better over a period of the campaign.

Yep that's what I'm basing it on , right now the odds don't match up as Salzburg are far better , imo.

But they are in far better form and especially at home, they play with so much pace and precision in comparison to Leipzig just now.

If we turn up, we should have enough to win it; but if we don't...
The weakest team in the group, but still far better than anything we face domestically. If we don't play at 100%, they can hurt us. I hope we are ready!
