    Messi has a much better goals per game record, as well as already having way more assists despite playing less games. Messi better running with the ball, probably the best dribbler of all time. Messi is the best player to ever live. I don't see the point in comparing players as they're approaching retirement. Prime Vs Prime Messi conquers all.

    I’ve always said goalscoring wise they’re very hard to separate - so take the goals out of there game, Messi is basically Iniesta if you took the goals away, a world class player who is one of the best ever. What would Ronaldo be?

    Lol those lightweights would never have scored as many back in Jimmy's era.* boots * pitches * balls. No kangaroo skin boots and lightweight balls on a bowling green.     9 more goals and Ronaldo officially is worlds top goalscorer of all time. The goals are in TOP FLIGHT NON-FRIENDLY, COMPETITIVE CLUB AND INTERNATIONAL matches only.
    Some sites are saying Ronaldo and Messi have scored more but they are for unders and also friendlies.

    Hahah have you seen that stat going around about how many Haaland would actually have to score from now til the next 16 years just to level with ronaldo? Puts into context the craziness him and messi have achieved with how amazing Haalands numbers seem right now

    It's not as bad as it seems though.

    Haaland only needs 35 goals per season in club football to reach 700 club goals in 15 years which Ronaldo is on for example at the age Haaland would be then.

    Even if he "only" scored 35 goals every 50 games he would reach 700 club goals in 963 games which is only 18 games more than it took Ronaldo 700 in 945 games. It seems do-able, especially if he scored 40-50 goals a season for a few years meaning in his mid 30s he might only need 20-25.

    The other stat is to reach club and International goals he needs 42 goals a season for 15 years.

    Messi is probably the best dribbler ever(him and mardonna would be very difficult to split admittedly)

    He's also one of the greatest passers the world has ever seen. Xavi and Iniesta have probably given him a massive hand in how to put a pass through the eye of a needle.

    People watch Messi because he can create, he can play, he can score, he can dribble. His set pieces are on another level. He's the most complete footballer of all time. Aerial ability aside. Even then, he's scored some fair important headers in his time.
