Lots of confidence and composure today with that goal. Looks a real prospect.

His finish was that good it was unnecessary, he could have just slotted it, decided nah mate top corner make it look good.

Considering he hadn’t made an impact on the ball by that point, supreme confidence from a youngster.

Plus he chose 69 for his squad number.

    nice.

Rocco Vata has impressed during training and pre-season matches with the first team.

With Forrest coming through that pathway, he admits he’d loved to see another teen follow the same route to become a Hoops star.

He added: “He looks really well. He’s adapted to our training right from the start of pre-season.

“I think he’s only just turned 17 but physically, he looks ready. He’s in good shape and is quick.

“You obviously don’t want to put too much pressure on him but I think he’s a confident boy.

“It’s maybe benefitted him being up training with us right from the start with first team players. He’s looked sharp and in some of the pre-season games.

It was only a training session, but he was very impressive today. Great finishing and physically he looks a lot more ready than some other young players who came through the academy.

Been impressed the last few run outs he has had for us.

Really hoping he steps up soon and we keep him.

He's looked a top drawer finisher from the off. Scores all types as well and really quick..

    Has a major chance here..

I would call him attacking right sided midfielder.

Striker all day long for me from the little I’ve seen, think he may adapt over time.

Plays right wing and did when he came on for us.....but as mentioned, I wouldn't be overly surprised if he ends up down the middle..

He's that deadly infront of goal..

Hope he gets game time tomorrow and on the weekend. Would love to see him challenging Forrest as back up for Abada

Since Maeda can fill in as 3rd choice striker should we just include Vata as a further choice striker and just not bring someone else in? Not sure who would be willing to come in as 3rd choice anyway.

I suspect Kenny will be the next choice after Maeda, so more likely Vata will challenge Forrest for the back up RW slot. Also, not in favor of him going out on loan, better working with our coaches right now

Imagine what he would learn being exposed to the first team under Ange. Training with Jota, Abada, Kyogo etc that's how you learn as a youngster. Would love to see him in the first team squad.
