I don't particularly rate him. Wigan were lucky to stay up this season and last. Ok, they play some good football, but they don't really have a lot of quality in there, their defence are * and if it wasn't for N'Zogbia they'd be down for sure.
And let's not forget before him, Wigan were a mid-table side in no danger of ever being relegated.

    Move on.

He's obviously someone who does an over-emphasised PR job with the fans of the club he's at and some fans lap it up because they love hearing that the manager loves the club they support.

Turns out he's full out *, oh well.

yeh well noone cares what they think. let big Gwyn and his boys keep on being deluded and think they can fill a 60,000 and have a catchman area of 1.5m fans. ;-)

no "the swansea way" was created by that big * Toshack. RM did bring the style back after a shocking decade and Swans fans in the most can appreciate that Martinez played a big part in where we are today (notice i said a part, he is not solely responsible, there are others)

but the he left has ended his legend status. On a side note, my best mate is a Brummie fan and you should hear the things coming out of his mouth about McLeish. hes not even bothered in the slightest McLeish gave him the greatest day in his life wit the Carling Cup win, i think he's actualy gonna kill him!

My advice would be.......Be wary of any foreigner, be they player or manager, who professes their undying love for your club. Most of the time it is just hollow words.

As Celtic supporters we have all experienced this too. Pierre Van Hooijdonk, Mark Viduka, Ramon Vega etc etc they all profess their love for the club when they first arrive but, in the end, they all move on as soon as there are bigger bucks to be had elsewhere.

Occasionally you do get the odd foreigner who comes to your club and really embraces it. There is no doubt that guys like Lubo Moravcik, Henrik Larsson and Artur Boruc really did take Celtic into their heart, struck up an almost personal relationship with the supporters and left Parkhead with a genuine affection for the club. These kind of guys are few and far between nowadays.

That's just the way it is I'm afraid.

well....we prob did the best thing possible in that he was roundly ignored. that must get to someone with an ego like him. the media have portrayed as a warm welcome, it wasnt, it was an ignoring. Instead as great fans like Celtic, we got behind our own team and ive never seen Rodgers get a bigger reception, no doubr as a backhanded insult to Martinez as well.

I sit with our singers and there were a few chants, the two prominent ones being "we * hate brown shoes, hate broooown shoes" and "it aint what you did its the way that you did it, it aint what you did its the way that you did it, it aint what you did its the way that you did and thats what makes you a *!" but overall he was ignored.

as he took 6 members of our backroom staff, one funny moment waas when their physio Richie Evans came on and he got booed by about 10,000 people. made me laugh. well thats an angry chapter in my life over and done with. moving on.

hes a smarmy * who knows what to say. plays up to the crowd and his media image. * him. he probably might be genuine and to be honest i expect he is, but he comes across so arrogant. take everything he says with a pinch of salt. i prefer Rodgers, he's more humble.
