im beginning to think either of Keane or Bellamy might end up here, as we havent signed anyone else yet, i beleive Lennon is hanging out as close to deadline day hoping to snap either up on loan, just hope we dont end up leaving it too late that we cant bring anyone in.

    Wow!!
Why can't some people just stop arguing and stick to the topic man? :31:
I don't think Keane will end up back here but it would be good to see him back again if he takes a wage cut, he would still be great up here.

Heard between 3/5 million been in talks over a deal a good while Keane done a interview basically confirms talks taken place.

Keane, who will lead Ireland against Croatia in Dublin, said: 'There are a couple of weeks left in the transfer window and it is likely I will be going but at the moment I don't have the answer as to where.

'I haven't turned down anything, a few people are talking to the club but that is really all I can say. I am sure it will be sorted in the next couple of weeks.
'And I would move anywhere. I don't know where this story comes that I want to stay in London I have never said that. I am quite happy to go anywhere to play regular football.

he's made his money in football surely if he 'loves' the club he would be more than willing to take a wage cut

i'd imagine we'd be one of the clubs who are being 'kept informed'. no doubt we'll fail to move though lol. typical.

£3m would be the very very very max i'd spend on him and he would have to be happy with £30k a week max.

Surely we could afford 3million if the wages were right.
maybe the board are saving him for a "last 2mins before the window shuts signing":56:

Robbie Keane will go to whatever club pays him the most wages. Sad, but true.

But who could blame him really - and as nice as it would be to have him come back, I certainly don't begrudge him.

John Kennedy's incredible gesture is a huge exception against the norm.
That doesn't make others who choose differently, selfish.
