His stock is at its lowest point since he burst onto the scene, I don't think it would take £6 million to take him.

If there was a chance we could sign him we would be stupid to pass it up, his game intelligence was a level above anything we've seen at Parkhead since Larsson.

he had his chance as far as i am concerned, he would want stupid money which we would be better served spending on some younger players.

No need. We need a totally different type of striker just now. Plus add to tha fact he's 31 going on 32, wages of 50k+ p/w. We need a target man, we've got 2 guys who can score 25-30+ goals a season

If we were going to spend 5 million+ on a striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel would be a far better option. His value is 5 million according to transfermarkt.

if we could get him for 1-2mil, and offer him up to 25-30k p/w, then id say go for it, think he would do brilliant with hooper! .. but i dont think we would get him for that, so unlikely :(

other than that, would like to see him in the hoops again! least we wouldnt need to rely on stokes or sammy taking the pens! haha

No chance unfortunately. I think the minimum we'd be looking at here is £5m and that is the very least I think they would take for him. I'd love to see him back up here, for obvious reasons, but I just don't see it happening any time soon.

If we signed both Robbie Keane and Shane Long, I genuinely believe we would win the Europa League with relative ease next season.

Won't happen obviously, but one can dream :icon_mrgreen:

He showed what Celtic meant to him last time around.....not a lot. He was only here to boost his ego and get a game. I'd rather have young and vibrant players like Hooper any day than Keane. I don't think he'd fit into the squad these days anyway. For what he'd cost and what his wages would be the money could be better spent.

if hes up for 20K wages and we can get him for around 2M then yes please. but anything more than that for a 31 year old who hasn't hit the heights for a while would be crazy
