    He had the chance at a European elite club, and unfortunately couldn't cut it. Perhaps came too late in his career for him to make the step-up. His value to the top teams (Spurs included) is plummeting.

    He'll stay at Spurs and pick up a huge wage and probably at some point move to a lower 6 Premeirship club to squeeze as much big wages out his career as possible, and you can't really blame him.

    But if he does a Roy Keane and turn up at 35 and past it, bleating about being a huge fan and how it would be a dream come true then I'll be fairly * off, but again I can see it happening...

    I wish this rumour would get put to bed man. It won't happen anytime soon and he did want to move we don't have a spare 20mil.

    I think we'd all agree that this would be amazing if it happened, Keane would run riot up in the spl. Not only that but his link up play would be ideal if he had maloney and mcgeady in support. But unfortunately I don't see it happening, spurs paid alot of money for him to come back to white hart lane, and the spurs fans adore him.

    In an ideal world, would love this to happen, and I hope it does, but can we really expect him to leave a top 6 premiership team which is performing well in the EPL, could challenge for honours, and leave the captaincy behind?....doubt it...

    Yet another instalment in the interminable "Robbie Keane to Celtic" bullshit saga. Even if the guy signs at the very next transfer window, I'd be fairly underwhelmed. He will be 30 already, is past his best, and we would likely have to break the club's wage structure to sign him, running the risk of unsettling other players.

    Why some folk still seem to go apeshit over this tabloid crap is beyond me.

    Dont see why everybody would want him at CP anyway? He doesn't even score that often. Maloney/Mcgeady would score more goals than him if he was to come to CP.

    Must be a slow news day. This has blatantly just been cooked up by this Alan Nixon at the Daily Mirror. There are no quotes or anything so its just speculation. Spurs have just spent £15M on him and given him the captaincy, so why sell him for £7. And my guess is he wil be on around £80,000 a week, he would get £40 at the absolute maximum here. I don't think so. Also he isn't "Celtic through and through", because this time last season he told the press he was "Liverpool through and through" which he wouldn't have done if he was a real Celtic man.

    I'm sick of this nonsense story.
