I haven't seen him do anything in the last two seasons or so to suggest hes any better than McDonald ? Would rather we spent our money on a player a bit younger. Who we can get more out of, Keane needs a good partner to get anything good out of him, unlike Larsson.

I do not see this move happening much as I would love it to. But to say Keane is no better then McDonald I could not disagree strongly enough. McDonald has a decent goalscoring record but so does Keane. Whereas Keane is a much more complete and all round player who contributes way more outside the box then McDonald. I think Keanes international record alongside McDonald shows the gulf in class between the 2.

As for needing a good partner before he can get anything done. While Kevin Doyle is a solid player he is nothing special and Keane seems to have had no trouble scoing goals for Ireland during the World Cup campaign.

Robbie Keane linked with loan move to Celtic | Tottenham - Times Online

i have to say ive always been sceptical and yes annoyed by these types of stories but tbf this rumour seems to be a lot more solid and refuses to go away; i think the fact that its not just rags like the Mirror, the Star etc spouting pish means there could be some truth in the rumours; a loan deal would be good

perhaps this partially explains the sudden upturn in performances from the likes of Sammy and McDonald? not to mention this French guy we are allegedly after

Hmmm it's interesting at least since the broadsheets rarely get involved in this type of rumour unless they see possibility. We have to remember Boruc is on £50,000 a week so it is feasible and like mentioned our earning potential hasn't really fallen but we got rid of Balde, Graveson and VoH's wages which were quite high so our finances can afford a certain amount but not really enough unless he takes a pay cut or Dermot Desmond does decide to hand over the cash. He's done it before in securing O'Neill and other deals so it is possible he can step in, especially with an Irish player who as captain of the national side will appeal to him.

Well when he signed his new contract it was widely reported to be the highest since Larsson at £50,000 a week and is the highest paid player in the SPL.

I would estimate Boruc to be on circa £30k plus win bonuses, plus sponser deals. Could take him to nearer £35k to £40k per week though.
I wonder if the Holy Goalie when he is bored looks on sites like these- you never know! Maybe he spends all his time on his PS3!
Artur ya rich baz- how much ye oan!
Ohh the Holy Goalie, he hates huns - la de da , lad de da, etc etc!!!!

Oh yes definitely can happen if he is up for it its up to Robbie and the board to work out a deal to make this happen..lets face it Robbie Keane is not short of a few quid is he and he needs to find his niche as he goes from club to club on his travels so Celtic is were he could find it providing there is some truth in the story this time and i think on a personal level he is ready to make the move to us..maybe its now or never but is the board ready to do it..we wait with baited breath on this one materialising.

Never say never on this one. If Pavleychenko signs for Roma in January its a non starter, Spurs aint littered with strikers so Keane wil be kept. If Pavleychenko stays then i think Arry will fancy him and open the door for Keane. Spurs aint gonna qualify for the champions league, not a prayer, maybe keane will fancy a move for a chance to play in it next season?

its difficult to say who would be dropped out of mcdonald or samaras but i don't think it would matter as keane is that good a player i think he could play beside either of them however, i don't know if we'll be able to afford is wages... :/
