    He scored on his debut when he was 17 in November 1957 against St Mirren in the League, played 235 games and scored 105 goals. Plus 15 Glasgow Cup games with 5 goals. 3 goals in 7 European games and 6 goals in 25 games against the Huns. Celtic's 5th youngest scorer in official games.

    Him and his da both had good records for us.

    His da scored 48 goals in 82 official games and 51 goals in 121 War League and Cup games. Best season 1937/38 where he scored 20 goals in 20 League games and we won the League.

    When you consider what Big Jock achieved, there were bound to be casualties, John being one. No slight on anyone not making Jock's teams.
