Don't forget that the prosecutor focused on the clothing that one of the six was wearing, questioning why he wasn't wearing a Celtic top. The insinuation was quite clear - that he was dressed casually and therefore looking for trouble. This wasn't laughed out of court. It was about painting a picture, however false. The picture of one of them in a balaclava and accompanying text would have helped the prosecutor do that.

Well, according to the amsterdam police you are a hooligan by just wearing a Celtic shirt. We all seen the madness what was said by the judge and polis in court yesterday, so in that perspect I believe that picture could have worked against him even more too.

That's not the point he was trying to make imo. The tial was a farce and have been following it all night and because of that I'm certain if that picture would be shown in court it would have been seen as a hooligan thing by the police and judge.
They used every little thing to make the Celtic supporters on trial look bad. They would have used this too. Provocation and *. (Mind: This aint my point of few on balaclavas, but the Amsterdam authorities would run away with it)

    Offensive banner?

I've heard a lot about this offensive banner that the Ajax fans had. Also Neil Lennon has mentioned it following the 5 arrests, Wat was the banner? Anyone got a pic?

i,ve just read a post from last week saying he was in utrecht and the only thing on the news was an internal investigation after 2 plain clothed were captured on the amsterdam cctv system attaching fans who were trying too escort 2 locals away as the ajax fans attacked.
so much for the judges statement.

    you should have walked away.

and is it true that 4 were suspended for assaulting milan fans a few weeks before us
and another 12 suspended for assaulting man city fan with 3 being sacked
    thats some shocking stat,s
as i said in a previous post i left the square about an hour before the ajax fans attacked but we had mentioned these(as i know now)gangs of plain clothed eyeing everyone up .

can anyone get a hold of footage of the above showing the fans being attacked

I've been reading that post a few times and can't figure out what he means. Utrecht, Milan, Man City. Is he talking about Ajax fans or our general hate towards non Dutch people? :smiley-laughing002:

Well, here is again how I experienced the night, a few minutes after the Dam was cleared. Is clear to see it didn't really kick in what just had happened.

well my question if you read it again was is it true that this many police officers were suspended?
was any of the suspended police involved in the celtic game.?
and if true is there any other cases of trouble against away fans
if there is ,then this shows a pattern

and the point, well if true, does it not highlight this holigan problem is ingrained into the dutch, sorry the amsterdam police.
that it,s the norm to beat up innocent civilians
so what does that say about there character, they have none
but the can stand in a court of law and have there word taken as gospel even tho everyone knows there lies.
bottom line is this 5 innocent men have convictions hanging over them
and every bit of information will help will help quash there conviction
and then take them to a civil trial where the will be compensated.

and iv,e not seen the footage i mentioned so was hoping somebody had seen it and could put it.
