I;m embarrassed by thsese decisions mate, but far from embarrassed being Dutch. Has nothing to do with this case. Police aren't going through my streets beating up everything that moves.

People need to get a grip talking about another country as a whole. You guys in Scotland having problems with harassment of the police vs Celtic supporters. Doesnt make me hate the country.

I got into a fight with a few huns in Hamburg a year back. I don't blame Scotland nor Germany.

Ive been feeling a bit uneasy lately reading some of the anti Netherlands comments on here tbh. I was there on the Dam, it could have been me or anyone else having a good time.

Agreed mate. Nobody is happy about the sentences, nobody feels a sense of justice for the lads but that is the thing, it is the polices fault and, in this case, the justice system.

However comments along the lines of * the Dutch and other derogatory remarks regarding the country as a whole are bang out of order. Direct your ire against targets that actually deserve it, Holland is a decent sized country, you can't condemn it all for two nights of madness in Amsterdam with scummy cops and a section of scummy fans.

Is the Dutch criminal lawyer giving updates from the Court Room telling lies? A report from Twitter, a live feed, sitting in the room at the time - they all give the same information.

Like I said, no offence intended. There are times I'm embarrassed to be Scottish - mainly when a group of NED's are interviewed on TV or the likes. I would be embarrassed to be Dutch reading what I have from the Dutch judge with a complete refusal to apportion any blame to the Police.

Given we have all seen the footage for ourselves, that is disgusting.

It's not much better over here. Football fans are criminalized the world over.

It is. We don't understand how fair our system is until you see stuff like this.

If the Police had picked up the chairs the Ajax fans threw at and over them in the home leg and threw them back - they would have been rightly dragged backwards over hot coals both by the media and the courts.

I understand this was a 'quickie' hearing, but a court refusing to question witnesses, relying on shaky and inconsistent police reports before passing prison sentences and fines is utterly absurd. Then to add insult to injury, the under cover policemen- who were acting like thugs- are to be awarded damages!

Hopefully the appeal process allows justice to be done.

I'm not saying anyone is lying am i? But Twitter is 140 characters bound and nobody is typing fast enough to type it all what they are saying. Not to speak of tone, style and technicalities which go lost in typing and/or translating.

Why bother with a court system at all? They were thrown in jail on the word of the police.

Your right it is better but you have seen yourself how groups like the green brigade have been treated by the police in Glasgow. However we obviously have better laws governing how our police operate and make arrests.

The guy posted literally hundreds of sentences, one at a time. In real time. The way the verdict was delivered is immaterial.

The judge could have been juggling knives wearing a clown suit, he delivered a verdict born of corruption and lies.

I have next to no issues with how the Police deal with the GB and other groups. Yes they do pick on them and are heavy handed in the way they go about it at times but this very thread and this very issue merely highlights how, in relative terms, we have got it much fairer than a lot of places.

Give me filming innocent people in order to obtain law and order over running about in your normal clothes and leathering innocent fans, including young people and women, and not even getting a slap on the wrist for it from the judicial system that is supposed to be there to protect you.

As far as I'm aware there was not one arrest, despite the scenes at Parkhead, of any of the Ajax fans in Glasgow. The wonderful Scottish police and judicial system probably had more important things on their plate, like filming Celtic supporters singing songs, or maybe drafting new legislation to 'even things up'.

They all where translated and if you say them out loud your not even close to the time they used to speak. But this is a useless discussion because you got your mind set and emotions running through. Fine by me.

Hope the bhoys come back soon without being bothered too much and win the appeal in which they can use witnesses.

Using this as some kind of way to dilute the conduct of the corrupt and shameful Scottish police and legislature is absolute madness.

Does it look as if I have my emotions running through? :56: I couldn't be more relaxed, I'm only stating my opinion. No colourful language or abuse used.

The guy speaks English and is tweeting himself directly from the Court Room. Again, I'm not sure what could be lost in translation from the verdict? It is what it is.

Placing them side by side with their Dutch counterparts they are relatively liberal in their approach to policing.
