Reports of Ajax fans causing bother

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by iando, Nov 5, 2013.

  1. We don't do walking away..

  2. Fucksake even my maw agrees with the reaction we gave half
Of the men in here are pussays ! Fucksake stand up for your right and fellow fans

  3. Obviously different experiences haha.

With regards to rivalry..lets be honest we cant compete with them. Numbers wise they can pull is incredible. Casuals pull a thousands alone over there, here be lucky if any casual group get more than 40.

Not saying we cant handle ourselves, but their numbers are insane. Seen that on the Monday night here, 100/200 cutting about central station.

Think allot of posts on here highlight the absolute naivety in some of our support..'If I seen trouble id simply move away etc' . Trouble kicked off in Dam square in seconds, from calm to chaos. By 5 minutes peaceful in Dam square to a near on riot.

Police & undercover were pulling up in vans all day arresting randoms. Ajax hools in the square in seconds, impressive really how amazingly organised they were and how they anticipated the police's actions. Really for folk if I seen a hint of trouble I would be out of their just highlights naivety.

Plus if I saw our support attacked by batton wielding scum or Ajax you would do something. Not suggest it was there fault, when clear those that witnessed what happened it wasn't.

  4. Aye cracking in it? :icon_mrgreen:

Gets you right up for the game IMO. Better than any depressing Malleys number haha.

  5. That tune is dire....rather stick with a good Celtic song.

  6. This away game with Ajax might be a turning point for Celtic fans in the future.

  7. What do you mean by that?

  8. I hope its not but it's obvious that some will welcome more aggressive support

  9. Hope so, and I sincerely hope the next time any shower of * try what these * did in the dam we'll be ready..

  10. I mean not everyone wants to be friends and for some in the support to wise up in future, aye if folk want to have a good time great, but not every team and fans like us.

  11. This sort of provocation and violence has been a one off, in my time supporting Celtic anyway (granted that's less time than some on here).

Not even Hamburg were at it like those Ajax *. If fans are attacked yeah they should fight back but we shouldn't look for violence because other supporters are like that.

  12. What some people seem unable to understand is that we were brutally, viciously attacked for no reason. The other * that went on had nothing to do with this act of cowardice. They have no excuse for the way we were treated in dam square.
If anyone or any Group of people gets attacked like that they have no other choice, the best defense is a good offence. ACAB

  13. I fully understand what went on and I agree that the way our fans reacted was fine and to be expected...I call it a necessary evil, and if provoked in the way our fans in Amsterdam were again then I would expect them to react in the same way.

I do have a feeling though that some of our fans, going by what has been posted on here would welcome having battles with opposing fans and that is something I won't condone.

    take a tram car
    take a tram car
take a tram car to Dam Square
where you'll see the * Lampost
that put the polis oan the flair

  14. Your correct but only if we came up against teams that have a following like this ac barca etc no chance... I say if we had took a good lot to Vienna we would have seen a side like this from rapid I'm surprised it passed with no hastle

  15. Why not as most of us have said if it happens it happens! Don't go looking for it but it will aways come looking for you! That's just the way it is I'm afraid I'm just surprised it's taken that long for something like this to happen!

And before you go on one I used to travel everywhere never missed a game so I have seen it all!

  16. That is basically what I have said, if it happens, it happens...they are going to stick up for themselves and quite rightly so.....would have been good if you had read my posts properly before you went on one :50:

But like I also said.....some post I've read on here are leaning more towards hoping there is trouble and I won't support that.

I've been to many games, when I was younger I went home and away for years, never missed a game apart from European away games and have seen many a battle....been caught in the middle of them as well.....so I'm not naive as to what happens and can happen.

  17. Rapid was a surprising one in that I don't recall much happening in Vienna. Saying that we had a very small support at that.

Same way, as well in that both games had funny wind ups rather than anything. 'Jimmy do you have any whiskey left?' haha.

See tbh the attitude has probably there for a while, of willing to defend ourselves if attacked. Would class it as human nature rather than anything else.

Certain places are obviously more hostile than others...But even in less hostile places like Barcelona, supporters have been attacked e.g by Bioxos Nois.

  18. If people are wanting it to happen then each to there own... I'm not going to lie I was kind of hoping it would in amsterdam for many reasons but not the way it happend! Hatred towards them being one reason seeing if the support in a situation like that would stand there ground and thirdly because of the way they erupted in my and your city

Que the abuse but I actually don't care what anybody on a forum have to say about it I bet there are many that just won't admit it

  19. I certainly wouldn't but I support our fans unconditionally if they have to defend themselves. Hopefully this will be a one off and will not encourage other foreign firms to have a go. By no means all our supporters are able-bodied young men and if this kind of thing happens more often it will be harder for families, female fans, disabled fans to travel and take part in the festivities, which would be a huge shame.

Violence in any context is only ever justifiable if it is purely defensive.
