    Super player. Incredible

I think that this guy is the standout in the team at any level. What a find.

I think he was definitely trying to square it to Kyogo.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't start receiving serious interest next summer. He's next level good at times.

Guy doesn’t look out of place at CL level at all, absolute top class player.

Was gutted when we took him off as he was the best player on the park and looked like could still make something happen.

Definitely going to be interest in him after this CL campaign.

When this man isn’t starting, we’re a lot worse off.

He tried in vain to make something happen today. Wasn't to be sadly but miss his energy when he isn't on the pitch. Hopefully we can bring in a pacey 8 in January to help keep those energy levels up when he's not on the field.

    I agree with this,
I think McGregor can do a job for us further forward these days but is actually more effective for us deeper. Something I am only noticing recently when he has played a fair bit of the time further forward.

Turnbull isn’t a box to box midfielder, he doesn’t have the legs for it. The one thing I would say as a positive is there are a fair few CMs in the last year of their deals just now who look like they have the attributes to slot into the way we play.

Another who I would be tempted to look at is Ao Tanaka who I don’t know why he is playing Bundesliga 2, as he is a very good all round CM. Used to play with Hatate at Kawasaki.

Turnbull last year was very effective, because he wasn’t quite box to box, he was the middle man with Rogic further ahead and Calmac further back. One thing that frustrates me with Ange is he needs to tweak the roles for the players he has on the pitch, and I think he’s been much better at it since the Bodo Glint games last year.

But he slips into vastly different players in like for like roles. You can change the style without sacrificing the philosophy

Hoping he isn’t injured too but on the other hand if he is not at least him Kyogo and even Maeda only playing a half are not getting loads of game time so they are fresh to come back for us.

REO HATATE has expressed his disappointment after being left out of the Japan national team for their match against the USA.

The Celtic midfielder was not involved in the squad at all, despite his club teammates Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda both being involved.

Injury fears had been sparked following his absence, but Hatate has confirmed that he was fit and available for selection.

He told Japanese outlet Gekisaka: "Honestly, I'm really disappointed that I was left out of the squad. I feel that I am strong enough

Everything is decided by the coach, so it's not up to me. I have a role here, and if I have a chance to play in a game, I will play wherever I am told.

"While there are many players who have various experiences, I'm trying to come up with ways to leave the mark of coming here. I think there is something to be gained from the national team."

Hatate feels his Champions League experience should help him on the international scene when he gets his chance.

He added: "I'm progressing with the technical part (of my game), and on what I did last half a season.

"I've built a relationship with my teammates and I'm able to play calmly even on a pitch like that (the Champions League). I think I've grown a lot."

Made the bench today but didn't get on . Doesn't look like he will make the WC squad

Hopefully we’re keeping our eye on whoever is starting ahead of him as he must be an unreal footballer..

See if Hatate is that out of the international picture for Japan, we should be looking at the other Japanese CMs that are affordable, they must be some players for Hatate to not get a game.

Japan are going to win the World Cup if he’s not good enough to get off their bench.
