Know he’s massively popular here, but I worry about his performance at times.

Drifts in and out of games too much for me, and you simply can’t afford passengers in games like today.

O’Riley should be ahead of him.

He needs dropped for a while imo.

As I said a few weeks ago, I think it'll be next season where we see the best of him, but that doesn't give him the excuse to continually put in poor games with no fear of being dropped. St Johnstone was his first good game since Motherwell.

We have the options in midfield now to change it up.

I'd rather have the security of Bitton over the desperateness of Hatate. He's lost my confidence & he needs to earn it again at this point. Not just one good game against a team of St Johnstone quality but a string of good games when it matters as well.

He’s massively popular here in what respect? He’s criticised as much as anyone else and rightly so.

He was poor today as he has been in several games this season, noted by the umpteen comments on his performances to that end.

He gets a partial pass for circumstances, rightly, but he has to buck up his ideas and fast.

More poor games than good ones since joining.

Constantly loses the ball in the centre of the pitch.

The potential is there but he's just so sloppy at times. Needs a boot up his * and needs to be stronger in the tackle.

Seems to be Ange's blue eyed boy though. Lasts way too long when he's having a * game

We need better if we are to reach the next level in our game.

    Good backup option.

Needs to be quicker in his decision making and with his actual play. You don't have the luxury of time and space in Scotland and certainly not against those *. He needs to realise this asap.

Neat and tidy with a good eye for a pass. But he's too nice and not cut out for games like today where it's fast paced and physical. I've yet to see him mix it physically. Maybe it's just his demeanour but some games he looks like he's blowing out his * after about an hour too.

Thought he was good at times , others he was fouled ,thier pressing was pretty good tbh and that stopped us playing.

Too slow to react is what I took and kinda shat a few challenges, that's why he was so good in the 3-0 had time , space and never panicked.

I thought he was poor at the start but then had a good spell of being able to take the ball under pressure and turn his man. Then Jack assaulted him.

Should have done better with his chance and hit the target. Was a strange one when he just smashed it across the box when he had time to take a touch.

Being honest I think he’s another player who would be more comfortable further up the pitch than where we are playing him just now. I think all of Turnbull, Rogic and Hatate are more attacking midfielders than box to box. ORiley probably is too. Then we have Bitton, McCarthy and Ideguchi who play deeper like - 6 and just McGregor who is comfortable as an 8.

It’s a position we have a lot of players in but several of them don’t really fit how we are trying to play.
