Yeah Mitoma is a quality player tbf. The Aussie lad that came off the bench looked decent too btw Tillio or something. Ueda I rate highly. Think he'd bang them in easily in Scotland. Will save that for player suggestions thread but haha

Can see Hatate breaking into and being a regular in that team at some point though. But it would be great to see him go to the world cup.

Yeah Tilio is an exciting player but I think he’s a bit lightweight. He’s got Mikey vibes, doesn’t produce enough end product. Tonight’s result was unfortunately predictable.

Hatate, will do well to break into the team, there’s a wealth of talent in that Japanese team and he’s going to need another big 6 months. He’s going to need to do some more hunskelping.

The representative activity is "I am enjoying myself without fear of mistakes", Reo Hatate is enthusiastic about taking the position "Focus on myself"

Japan national team midfielder Reo Hatate (Celtic) reiterated his thoughts on the Vietnam national team match and the World Cup.

Japan defeated the Australian national team 0-2 away on the 24th and decided to participate in the World Cup for the seventh time in seven consecutive tournaments. When I returned to Japan on the 25th, I resumed training on the 26th.

While overseas teams traveled long distances and had little decent training in Australia, they sweated mainly on the reserve team on the 26th.

A flagman who didn't make a turn in the match against Australia. Regarding the activities of the Japanese national team, "I am happy to be able to practice while there are many high-level players. I think that it is meaningless if I do not show what I am doing as a team on a daily basis, so I made a mistake. I think I'm enjoying myself without being afraid of it. "

He played in the inside half at Celtic, and coach Hajime Moriyasu also mentioned his appointment in the inside half. "I'm doing the inside half for my team right now, so I want to compete there, but I also have the experience of doing side backs, wings, and side halves, so I have the opportunity to get out." And comment. However, "I'm grateful that I can do it in the position I'm doing in my team, so I'd like to do it in the inside half," he said, saying that he wants to compete as an inside half.

However, during the Kawasaki Frontale era, he also played in sidebacks and wings. "I wasn't able to accept myself when I first did a sideback at Kawasaki F, but I focused on showing my goodness everywhere," he said, focusing on his own play rather than his position. However, "There is a part that is connected to the inside half by doing side back. I think that it will lead to the position that I play in any position, so I hope that side back will also be a source of future food." , It seems that he feels that wherever his position is, it will lead to his own play.

A little over two months have passed since I transferred. Regarding playing in Celtic and Europe, "At first I felt that I was able to join in a very good way with results, but it was not so easy, and there were a lot of marks and games from the opponent team. In the meantime, there were various difficulties in terms of conditions and so on. " "I'm grateful that things don't go well, so I think it's been two months with both good and bad things," he said. Regarding Ange Postecoglou's football, he said, "Under my current coach, I'm

really told to find a space, or to find a position where I can be free."
I am very conscious of it, "he said, saying that he is conscious of changing positions in consideration of his allies. In addition, "I think that I am very concerned about the result, I think that I am very much required for goals and assists, and I also want to focus on that," he said, leaving a visible result. I said it was in focus.

The flag bearer is currently experiencing the registration standards. "In the first place, the environment is different from Japan, and the pitch conditions and climate are different, so it took a lot of time to get used to it," he said. I think it was difficult to adapt to it because it was hard to play, the offense and defense were switched quickly, and the play speed was fast. "

However, "The manager tells me to play in such a part without fear of mistakes, and while it took me a long time to get used to the environment, I think that the support was great, so thanks to the team. I don't know, but I think I'm getting used to it gradually, "he said, and with the support of the team, he's getting used to it now.

Regarding the position battle for the Japanese national team, he commented, "If you compare Morita and Tanaka who are out now, I am an aggressive player, so I think that I am a goal or assist in search of results rather than them." "However, I think it's best to show your own characteristics rather than comparing them with other people, so I'd like to focus on myself without comparing that much," he said. He decided to focus on what he did and the performance he showed on the pitch.

The World Cup will start with eight months remaining. To that end, he commented, "It was a stage I've been watching on TV for a long time, and I think it will lead to future growth if I can feel that I decided to participate in the previous match against Australia." "I think there is a lot of chance that (participation) has been decided and I was a member of the decided stage at this stage. I feel that I have a chance to stand on the stage I was longing for, so I'm not sure if I can get out. It's up to me. I want to grow myself in the short time left. " I just wanted to keep pointing the arrow at myself.

If anyone wants to watch the Japan Vietnam game, try the OneFootball app. I used it to watch Australia Vs Japan. Worked perfectly with really good picture quality and has Chromecast option.

Think so. Was having a decent enough game and didn't take any knocks or pull up. I'm guessing the plan was just to give him some minutes depending on the result against Australia. He'll be fine.

Reo Hatate made his international debut today (Tuesday) as Japan faced Vietnam in a World Cup qualifying match, playing for the first 45 minutes of the match.

The game finished 1-1, although the result had no impact on Japan’s World Cup aspirations, given that they secured qualification for the 2022 tournament in Qatar with a 2-0 win over Australia at the weekend.

The player will now be heading back to Scotland to join up with his Celtic team-mates as preparations continue for this Sunday’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox.

The 24-year-old midfielder has certainly hit the ground running to life at Celtic after joining from Kawasaki Frontale in January.

In his first four games for the Hoops, he scored a thunderbolt against Hearts at Tynecastle and produced two stunners in a 3-0 Glasgow derby win at Celtic Park.

As moments go, it wasn’t a bad way to announce yourself as a new player and since then Hatate has continued impress as Ange Postecoglou’s January signing has strengthened the squad in the push for the league and Scottish Cup.

Speaking about the goals against Rangers, he said: “The Rangers game was one of the best moments so far and it was the best atmosphere I’ve experienced in my professional career. I could really feel the passion from the fans and it was an amazing night.”

On his plans for living in Scotland, he said: “I don’t have any family with me over here.

"Since I’m in Europe I would like to travel abroad to other countries, but for my time in Glasgow I really want to find some good restaurants and enjoy the city more when I get free time because I’m still in the process of adapting to the new culture.”

I think he's struggled to settle a wee bit more than our other Japanese guys.

The fact that there are 4 lads from Japan all having arrived in the past year has to be a help to them as that is one heck of a change in your life in so many ways off the field which cannot be easy at all.

Wouldn't be surprised since Daizen and Ideguchi have both played in Europe before, while Kyogo is the oldest and has been here the longest.

I think Guchi and Maeda have their families with them too. We were just really lucky how quickly Kyogo fitted in on and off the park

Hard to tell which Hatate will turn up this weekend as he’s been very off the boil of late.

Hopefully he can put in another derby performance to remember.
