I think it will be interesting with all the January signings that have been getting game time if we see improved form going down to a game a week after Sunday.

It will give the manager and coaching staff more time to work with them on how Ange wants them to play. Allow a better balance between recovery early in the week and planning for the next game, getting our game sharp later in the week and peaking for the games hopefully.

Guys like Hatate and Maeda are not used to the hectic fixture schedule we have been going through since the return in January. Hopefully we will see the best of Hatate again and Maeda will hit top form.

Full team has been * for weeks, would be unfair to single anyone out. He's already shown he's a quality addition so no need to worry about him.

*except Greg Taylor, who's just *

Aye I was saying the same and then he turned in that shocker v bodo.
Would be tempted to give Guchi a go in there. Seen little of him but looks tidy on the ball and closes down well

Aye, but I think it’s a risk starting him at Livingston away as well. Ideally we’d have gave him the weekend game to bed him in a bit more.

Correct me if I’m wrong here but the Japanese league ended in December and his debut for us was in January. He’s had at least 5 weeks of rest before coming to us. As I said I don’t think he’s burnt out, I’m just not sure he’s good enough

Did you watch the game against the huns? I don't think there is any doubt he's good enough.

He's come straight off a season in Japan to another club half way round the world in the middle of our season with no preseason and straight into the team. A little dip in form in a team that isn't playing well and he's no good all of a sudden. Cmon lad..

Yes I did see the game. You don’t become a great player by having one or two good games. He’s been rank rotten since.

He’s had a long break, I’m really not buying the fatigue excuse. Not to mention he’s playing for a team that dominate possession against utter diddys like St Mirren. Maybe he will come good, maybe not. But Kyogo was a sensation from start to finish until he got injured. That’s the difference in quality in my opinion.

Said it countless times, patience is required with any new signings, especially those who are having to adapt to a new country, culture and the intensive relentless nature of playing for us..

Can't all be like Kyogo and some where even questioning him after the defeat at Ibrox..

Hatate has already proven himself in that fixture, I've zero worries about him making it here.

One or two good games? Stop will ya. Name one player thats performed well in the last few weeks. Hes clearly a very good player hitting a bad patch along with the rest of the team

He's had nowhere near 5 weeks.

He's last game was 12th December. We announce them 31st December to which he's probably already on his way to Scotland to take part in training and then makes his debut on 17th Jan.

He's likely played the most minutes in our squad with the least amount of rest.

12th December - 17th January is roughly 5 weeks without a game mate

He was good against Hearts and the huns, he’s been poor in pretty much every other game he’s played. The rest of the squad haven’t been great true but Hatate has arguably been the worst performer in my opinion.

So he's not trained at all during that period?

At best he's maybe had 10 days rest

He got MOTM on his debut against Hibs as a sub. :56:so out of nine appearances so far he's been the best player on the park for 3 of them at least.. Yep he's been struggling last few games in a team that seems to have lost their way a bit. Absolutey no doubt he's a good player though

The bhoy must play every game he's available, for what he might do.

He was the best player on the park against Hibs, then great against Hearts and Rangers. He was also decent against Dundee Utd at home too.

Aberdeen he wasn’t great and has been in and out the team since. Like Maeda he still has good movement that too many turn and play the ball back instead of playing the forward pass. His form has dropped no doubt but hopefully after Livi tomorrow we will have a game a week so he will have time to adapt in training to how we want him to play.

100%. Glad to hear someone else say it emphatically. It’ll be more and more of an issue as time goes on as well, especially in Europe.
