Hes knackered. Needs a rest for a few games

 

Looked choking to come off by 60 minutes, constantly looking over at the manager done in.

 

I think he looks knackered, don't know how long a break he had after japan's season, maybe that's had an impact but hes slowing down our midfield takes to many touches when he has the ball compared to when he first came in it was all first time passing

 

I thought he had a right mixed bag of a game, started off trying too hard, then had a spell about 15-20 minutes in where he looked like the player that first arrived, then went back to being slack on the ball with simple passes.

Needs to tidy up his game a bit and hopefully rekindle his form from when he first came in. Turnbull coming back as another option will be helpful in managing game time.

 

Actually felt sorry for him at points he was that bad tonight

 

The crowd really went at him first half....he was really that bad..

We've seen how much better he is than this. I'm sure he'll bounce back soon..

 

He wanted far too long on the ball before making a pass tonight.

 

He likes the odd great pass forward but in general he plays it so safe in that 8 position. I'd love to see him picking the ball up and turning and trying a few through balls - he's obviously got it in his locker. Also, no movement from him off the ball, a good few times I clocked him tonight just standing still when our CBs had it (a few others guilty of this too).

 

Aye walking out at half time that was all everyone was saying granted more or less the full team was * but he genuinely looked like he'd never seen a ball in his life

 

He looks alarmingly casual at times. Often playing at walking pace and telegraphing passes. Think the return of Turnbull would be good for him.

 

Fans were getting on his back a bit last night, * that. Team needs all the support just now. Atmosphere has been crap at home since the huns game

 

Didn't necessarily think it was just him.

Fans were having a go at the backwards and side ways passing and rightly so. It was * brutal to watch in the 1st half and players needed to be made aware that it's not acceptable. Just so happened he was probably the biggest culprit of it

 

Desperately need Turnbull back to give him a break.

He's going through a rough patch, needs some time out for himself to hit the reset button.

 

Needs a rest and pray that's all it is.

 

Aye needs to sit out 2 or 3 games.

 

Aye early in the second half starfelt had the ball and ended up passing to ccv but he was going mental at the midfield for not moving

 

I would leave him out of the squad for a few weeks to give him time to reset. The guy looks lost at the moment.

 

Feel bad for the guy the now because his mistakes are getting magnified x100 compared to the things he's doing well.

He'll be fine once he settles in and communication with his teammates get better.

 

His last game for his previous club was on Dec 12, he started training with us on Jan 8 (27 days), his first game for us was 17 jan(36 days). So pretty much 4 weeks from his last game to starting training and 5 weeks from last game to first game.

This is a decent break and not the "coming off the back of a full season" myth that some are peddling, especially with maeda.
