Time for him to move on in the summer. I hope we scout the J-League more. Pretty nuts how much value we brought in from there

Aye a bit up and down today, some good stuff and some poor stuff. Far more willing to allow him that while he's putting in the effort for the full 90.

His shooting has become so erratic. One decent shot in the first half that tested Smith, but otherwise the ball could've landed in Paisley when he hit it.

We've improved as a team by moving on Kyogo. I think we would do likewise selling Hatate. So much room to upgrade on him in the summer

    Surprised at comments.

Didn't watch live but when I did watch later, thought he was good and involved in a lot of the key moments.

I wonder if anyone else has had this notion but it was again triggered yesterday by his hesitancy to play a couple of long balls over the top when they appeared on yesterday, and instead opting for the safe ball retention option, basically opposite of what you would expect from Hatate.

I do wonder if as part of Rodgers and staff trying to bring Hatate on as a more rounded player, that some of his natural attacking instincts have been dampened? I notice it quite a bit in games where a risky pass is on and he looks like playing it then checks out. See that last spell bs St Mirren was peak Hatate absolutely breezing past players, through balls, accurate pick outs with great vision, getting shots off around the box. It was almost as if the coaching manual had been tossed out the window and he was playing purely on instincts.

Don’t get me wrong he has got an engine he never had previously and that’s kudos to the coaching team and him for improving that side. I just wonder in an effort to improve Hatate as an all round player which does seem like on paper the right thing to do, has it caused him to question his instincts at time.

Yesterday, things didn’t come off for him particularly early in the game but was unlucky that effort didn’t find the net from distance and he had a couple of very good pick outs.

I have seen a lot of people saying we can improve on Hatate and we probably can with good scouting but it will need to be a very creative player we bring in as the ability he has in that regard is normally a catalyst for our better performances.

If he does move on and we are looking to play Maeda as our main striker, I would like to see us go more 4-2-3-1 next season with Engels and Bernardo able to compete with McGregor and another for the deep two midfield positions and McCowan backing up and new number 10.

If we keep Johnston and have Tierney coming in we will have attacking full backs, so having both full backs going forward we need more midfield cover for the centre backs.

I also think a 10 would help us get the ball forward to someone who can take it in as Maeda’s negative as a centre forward is he isn’t great taking the ball in and a proper attacking midfielder good on the ball playing high would negate that whilst Maeda stretches the backline to create space for the 10.

    Fuel up after the match]

As the season draws to a close, the importance of recovery and preparation is becoming more apparent.

In the UEFA Champions League (CL), where the format of the competition has changed, Celtic played 10 games until they lost to Bayern in the playoffs. I started in nine of those games and played the full game in five of them. There are only a few games left this season, but I have already played 46 games, including the CL and domestic cup matches, and my playing time has reached 3,155 minutes.

Last season, he was sidelined by repeated injuries, and only played in 21 games and 1,288 minutes. This season, he has already played more than double the number of games and nearly triple the playing time.

Since the start of the season, the team has played consecutive games with only two or three days between games, but even with such a tough schedule, the team has been able to play without injury, and believes this is the result of never neglecting both "recovery" and "preparation."

To put it dramatically, preparations for the next game begin the moment the final whistle blows.

Due to repeated injuries last season, I find myself drained of energy after games, so I try to consume things that will give me energy.

After a match, there's a variety of food available in the Celtic dressing room, but I like to have a banana first to refuel myself, and sometimes I'll reach for one of the doughnuts if I feel like I'm running low on energy.

The best time to eat is right after the game ends and I return to the locker room. There is a little bit of time before the coach gives his summary of the game, so I try to eat before then

Weight training after the match is also included]
After the talk with the coach, he also does weight training for his upper and lower body, which is a new initiative he has been trying out this season.

Of course, since it's after the match, we are trying not to put too much strain on ourselves, but I think that this is necessary training and preparation for the next match and for fighting through the long season.

Some people may wonder why he does weight training after he is exhausted from a match. If he only has one match a week on the weekend, he can do the weight training to build his body in the first half or middle of the week.

Some people may wonder why he does weight training after he is exhausted from a match. If he only has one match a week on the weekend, he can do the weight training to build his body in the first half or middle of the week.

However, in a schedule where consecutive games are played every two or three days, the day after the game must be used for recovery. In that case, the day after that is the day before the game, or the day before that. In that case, it is difficult to do weight training because there will be a backlash if you put too much strain on your body

In other words, when you think about the condition of the actual game, there is no time to do weight training to avoid injury or to build your body. Therefore, it is beneficial to do training that focuses on speed and agility immediately after the game.

To be honest, it's pretty tough to do weight training there because I'm so exhausted after the match (laughs). But I tell myself that it's necessary for me to grow and get stronger, and to be able to fight through the match without getting injured, so I keep doing it.

Looking around at my teammates, I hardly ever see any players who start the game doing weight training after the game (laughs). But now the team understands me and provides me with equipment not only at home but also away. I think that this accumulation has led to my 46 game appearances

Make alternating baths a part of your routine]
One of my post-game routines is taking an ice bath. I sometimes give up on it when playing away games or when the travel time is long, but when I return to the clubhouse from the stadium, I always take an ice bath and do a rotation bath.

Its effects are already widely known, as it reduces muscle inflammation and improves blood circulation. Looking at my Celtic teammates, some do it and some don't, so it's up to each individual, but I feel it's necessary for me, so I'm incorporating it.

Above all, I wasn't the type to do it so often when I was a university student or when I played for Kawasaki Frontale, but since I started playing in Europe and suffered repeated injuries last season, I have reaffirmed the importance of alternating baths. Now, I have a set time, and I do it in two-minute increments. I take alternating baths while keeping track of the time with a stopwatch on my smartphone, and when I'm tired, I do about five sets.

The day's fatigue should be dealt with on the day itself. It's not a catchphrase from a TV commercial, but if you feel fatigue or tension in your body, you can take care of your body yourself by alternating between baths or using a foam roller, and check your condition. In the end, the accumulation of this daily practice leads to maintaining your condition.

This season, instead of stretching and loosening the muscles, he focused on increasing the range of motion of his hip joints and other joints. He used to stretch frequently, but this season he no longer does so. As a result, although the team has a trainer, he has been able to go through the season without seeing him much this season.

On the day before a match, he barely takes a bath or stretches, as he believes that if his muscles become too relaxed, it could lead to injury.

Physical well-being leads to mental well-being]
Other than training, it's probably food and sleep. I ask the chef to prepare a menu for me, but as I mentioned before, after the match I try to eat carbohydrates to replenish my energy. Personally, I can't eat rice after a match, so I ask the chef to prepare rice flour noodles or pasta for me.

By the way, sometimes he treats himself with chocolate. In fact, he loves sweets. If he cuts out all sweets during the season because he thinks it might affect his body, it could become stressful. Since stress can also show up in the body, he sometimes snacks on chocolate when his wife is eating, as a way to refresh himself and change his mood. This kind of mental space and ease may also be affecting his play this season.

However, just as what I have written so far is not complete, the way I deal with my body will continue to change from time to time. What is important is to know your own body, what suits you, and what is optimal for you.

However, just as what I have written so far is not complete, the way I deal with my body will continue to change from time to time. What is important is to know your own body, what suits you, and what is optimal for you.

At the beginning of this season, I was worried about the fact that I had been injured repeatedly last season. However, once I started to maintain my condition through new habits, my worries disappeared and I was able to play to my heart's content

This season, I have been able to play with confidence, and I believe that I can embody that when I step onto the pitch. Preparation is the foundation that supports that confidence.

Instead of comparing yourself to others, you can tell yourself this.

"I've recovered so much and prepared so much for this match."

I've recovered so much and prepared so much for this match."

I think of it as a kind of stabiliser that helps me give my all on the pitch. A healthy body also leads to a healthy mind. It is only when the mind and body are stable that I can perform energetically on the pitch

He's prob going to get the full 90 today so if he's * then he'll at least be on long enough to tear it up in the last 20mins, as per.

Played well for the most part, lovely finish and some nice feints to take their players out the game. Exempt from any blame for me.

Scored a good goal and set up Johnston for an absolute sitter right at the end. Was also unlucky with a few efforts. One of few who got pass marks.
