Genuinely everything he did that night looked like it could have come off. And pretty much did! The occasion was massive.

Last night he was brilliant, especially toward the end of the game. Don't think he was great by any stretch the first 20mins maybe but definitely grew into it somewhat and put on a great display at the end.

If he was consistent, he’d comfortably be at a Tottenham now. Maybe higher.

I’ve been harsh on him and was questioning if he really is as good as some would suggest. However last night you could see his quality and it was brilliant to have a central midfielder that possess genuine creativity. We’ve seen them in the past like Lubo, Naka, Rogic but they only come around once in a while. He just needs to find some sort of consistency now.

No question as we saw last night when he is on his game he is a top talent just like you say we need to see it with more consistency from him. Hopefully we will see him on a really good run of form now after last nights showing.

I’ve not seen anyone mention his pass to Taylor for the second. Inch perfect to weight it for him but it probably looks simple.

He has shown the level in this last week, hope he’s being demanded to not drop below it now because nobody in thie country can get can a touch if thats his standard.

He’ll leave for sure in the Summer but its his form that will dictate if its to Bournemouth or a Dortmund, Milan etc

The more I think about his style of play, he’s like Aaron Mooy, only a little bit faster. Mooy’s speed was the only thing that stopped him going to top teams in Europe.

Before Mooy went to China, he would easily last 90’ though unlike Hatate. Stamina is probably what’s holding Hatate back at the moment.

I’ve been a bit critical of him in Europe previously. Seen our midfield overran too many times, and viewed him as a bit of a luxury.

He was very good against Atlanta though, showed a lot of determination, composure and the usual creativity at times. He was outstanding against Leipzig.

As mentioned previously, it was nice to see him celebrate like he did. He is normally very reserved but i think Euphoria took over him and he was left without choice :giggle1:

I think it’s clear he thought coming here if he done well he would get his big move and it hasn’t happened for him. I think he would have been a certainty to get that move in the summer of 23 if he hadn’t pulled his hamstring in March and missed the rest of the season, we noticeable became a worse team when we lost him.

I would also argue between that, a spate of recurring injury problems and the change of manager Hatate where he has had the odd standout game has struggled to get back to that 22/23 season level.

Well up until the last couple of games where he has been outstanding in a cup semi against our closest domestic rivals this season and against RB Leipzig in the CL. He has also been very good in big games this season, he played well vs Rangers, well against Aberdeen at home in the 2-2, when he had feature in CL he has largely been good, so hopefully this is him really coming back into top form and he can sustain this.

Aye a think if he continues with his recent form then there will be a few top clubs enquiring about him in the summer.

Not many players can play in the champions league and appear like that have lots of time on the ball.
