Reo Hatate

Thankfully people are seeing him in a true light. Not good enough, hides, gives it away far too often. Bernardo all day long in front of Hatate for me.

 

Did Bernardo improve us much today? McCowan had a much bigger impact for me.

Hatate can be so good but granted today hard to tell he was actually on the pitch. Maybe time to consider moving him on.

 

I said in the summer I would take 10m for him, a few laughed at that but on todays performance we would be lucky to get 5m, he is far too inconsistent to be a sure starter

 

Kept looking to the bench, if wanting to be subbed..

Really needs a reset this international break.

 

On his day he is brilliant, but seems to lack the desire, aggression and consistency to his game, makes you think he doesn’t want to be here?

 

I love him and think he's a game changer but he was poor today..

Doesn't seem to be dominating games like we've seen him do before or slicing teams open with the drop of a shoulder and pass..

Needs to sort it out..

 

More people should now be calling out Hatate on his performances. He has said many times his dream is to play in the EPL. Ok fair enough we know players want to get to the EPL. However he envisaged himself at this point strutting around for the likes of Spurs. He was the golden boy a few seasons back and probably thought it was just a very short matter of time before he left Celtic for the precious EPL. His attitude is highly questionable you only have to look at the rather immature way he reacted to not taking a penalty in a recent home game, went in a huff. Doesn’t matter how much ability he has, he’s simply not showing it in a Celtic jersey and that’s all that matters. In simple terms - he needs to pull his * finger out or forget starting for Celtic nevermind some * EPL side.

 

His inconsistency dare I say it reminds me a bit like Nitcham

 

I hope when he inevitably starts bangingnin about a move to the EPL again in a few month, that BR reminds him games like today and that he needs to be far more consistent.

 

He's been poor..

But the penalty incident, isn't something he should be criticised for?

He was the designated penalty taker and McGregor said to him it was to him whether he wanted to take or not.. and unselfishly he passed the ball to Engels without much fuss.. obviously Engels was eager to make an impact but if anything he was the one who was unprofessional as Hatate was meant to be the taker.

 

On the bench yet again for Japan tonight against Saudi Arabia

 

Least he's on the bench this time. didn't even make the bench last month.

Players flying half way across the world to get dicked about by this clown of a manager

Must be frustrating for reo going half way around the world just to sit on the bench though

You’re never off his case.

 

He rates Reo as well, called up last season off the back of maybe 2 games returning from injury and right back into the team. And he was rewarded with his form there, us not so much him being injured again.

Hatate has been a bit wild with his form this season, we’ve seen him hit heights we know he can and hope for, also seen the worst of him I think.

Could be the case he’s not liked what he’s seen when he’s turned up for the squad.

But his attitude and some comments towards Kyogo, also points towards him being a clown with some things at least.

 

Which is weird, because midweek he came on in a game nobody would have wanted to at the point he did, and I thought he made a got case for himself with his performance and attitude.

I was finding it a comforting thought in a bleak night he showed a great reaction to being dropped and brought on half time, us being hammered.

 

Stayed on the beach as usual

 

Aye between that and going of Reo’s comments last month it seemed to knock his confidence not even making the bench.

Must be frustrating for Rodgers too seeing 2 important players making that journey for very little game time

 

Surprised he even made the squad the way he has performed this season.
