He was a joke for that last goal, didn’t even attempt to challenge for the ball in the air and within about 4 seconds it’s in our net.

Thought he looked good when he came on, got on the ball and got shots away too..

Engels & Bernardo looked exactly what they are, young players out of their depth at thst level at the moment .

He made a better contribution than all of them..

His bit of play that sent Kuhn away to eventually * an easy cross in being a prime example..

Balanced out by the * pass bent the wrong way that had Kuhn running back to right back to stop it going out for a throw in in front of the dugout or the shot from the left side edge of the box he * into row ZZ.

Easy to pick individual moments to skew a point.

I think the difference was Hatate came deeper in near McGregor and got on the ball a bit more because of that.

Engels and Bernardo were both playing quite high and we never really got the ball through to them and we never really brought them back. It's like we thought we could score 3/4 goals ourselves so didn't stray away from keeping numbers up the park but then never actually got the ball through their midfield to them.

Hatate dropped in more near McGregor when he came on but even then Engels then became more like a number 10 he seemed to play even higher up the park and was barely seen on the screen the whole game.

Helped us get on the ball. Certainly wasn't like the 3 first half, that's for sure..

He was absolutely miles better than both Bernardo and Engels. Not that it would have been hard mind you.

He contributed more than Engels and Bernardo combined, yet he was still gash and thay * lazy swipe at the ball that ended up in the top row I'd have swung him about with his curtain fringe...

I still think it was the right decision for him not to start tbh.

Was just a horrid night for the entire midfield. We really need to look at how we set up for this game in Italy. Another skudding just cannot happen.

If Kuhn's gonna hide like that out wide again we may be better going for a diamond and flood the midfield. Let Kyogo and Maeda play as a 2 up top closing down the space or even Idah and Maeda may be better suited..

I'd agree but I doubt he will change it.

It's rogue but maybe even play Idah off the wing slightly as an outball. Kuhn I think has come on leaps and bounds but he does strike me as a player whom when the going gets tough he will go missing.

Defo need another couple wingers to support and ideally maybe one with a bit of height in the Perisic or Kulusevski mould *except a lot **

In a crowd of one with my opinion on this one but I want him starting ahead of Engels.

Bernardo was shocking and didn’t hide Tuesday, which made it more apparent. Engels was shocking and hid. Give him 60 minutes on the bench with the lesson talent is all well and good but the only thing that’s unacceptable is giving up, a lack of bravery and mentality. See how he reacts to it. Just because his fee doesn’t mean he can’t be judged the same standards as the others.

Dortmund shitshow aside, I like that we now have Engles, Hatate and Bernardo in a position to properly compete for their places.

We seen both the positives he brings and why he didn’t start, he was brave on the ball and positive. He also backheeled it to a Dortmund player in the middle of our half packed midfield - and thats why for me just that, he doesn’t quite know when to try things or not, he’ll try and turn players when he shouldn’t, a pass thats not on when it should be kept and recycled. But he’s still learning that, because there was a moment think it was Slovan Bratislava he kept the ball, didn’t rush it when he could have, got us back into shape then played a pass.

He needs to keep on his toes now though, he is a great talent, but he has others gunning for what should be his spot.

Anonymous. If he's got aspirations of playing at a higher level he needs to get the finger out for us first.

How long has he been here? 2 and a half years? He doesn't have the mental or physical attributes to go any higher. He makes so many poor decisions and his lack of presence in the middle of the park leaves us open any time the ball breaks down.

He has some great qualities when all is going alright against a poor team, but if you press him hard and get in his face, he is like a man down.
