Awful performance. How much of it was attitude and how much of it was just a bad day at the office where nothing clicked?

Thought it would be easy, it wasn't.
Body language quite poor today too - he's so hot and cold as a player.

Played like he was towing a caravan today.

As much as he is a wonderful player, he can definitely be such a lazy, primadonna *.

He often doesn't play well in these games. It's like he can't motivate himself for them.

Glad that others agree. Bernardo gives 110% every time he play. That is what I want from a Celtic player.

    Bench.

Said it last summer, said it this summer and will say it again. He can get the idea of a big money move out of his head until he can deliver performances week in, week out that likes of o'riley and jota did.

    Poor last Saturday
    Good in midweek

The thing is, we now have a squad where if you have a bad game, you'll lose your jersey.

Bernardo has been understandably but harshly dropped for Engels, on the back of Bernardo's display against the huns, where btw, he always seems to turn it on against them.

But Bernardo should start in my opinion. His goal was a belter, and his attitude is world class. I think Hatate is a wonderful player btw, but I think Bernardo will eclipse him in his career.

Can really see the consistency problem brendan mentioned.
Excellent against the huns and slovan.
Average against hearts and * the day.

Decent, only decent during the week. Absolutely on another planet brutal today. Gets off with murder by a lot of our fans, if it was McGregor putting in these performances week in week out he’d be absolutely slaughtered on here, quite rightly so.

Kyogo and Daizen give him more freedom, in that they track back when we lose it. I think Bernardo deserves to start next time out. Maybe the rest will do him good.

He’s a total maverick and I can accept that he’ll have plenty poor games along the way when things just don’t go his way. What I can’t accept though is how often his poor games seem to be caused by a rotten attitude, rather than an off day.

He genuinely looked as though he thought today’s game was beneath him. Sorry, but when you play for Celtic it doesn’t * matter who the opposition are, you’re playing for a people and a cause. The absolute bare minimum is 100% effort.

A masterclass on how to play yourself out of the team. Compare his performance to Bernardo’s and it was night and day.

Can play as well as he wants in games like Wednesday but if he can’t be arsed bothering for a game like this then he can go as far as I’m concerned. You can accept poor performances but that was blatantly an attitude thing and that’s completely unacceptable. He should be embarrassed by that display today.

Hatate being Hatate. Some flashes of quality in an otherwise lazy arsed performance. Will give us a masterclass next week then stink the place out the week after.

That’s a brilliant comparison tbf. Ntcham was amazing when he wanted to be and looks like hatate has that about him too when it comes to lesser opponents

Should have started looked far more effective than the others and actually was able to play his normal game , got down the outside of Maeda a couple of times ,( which lead to us getting into familiar positions to flash balls across the box like we do domestically )/ few nice passes , drew the odd foul and got two shots at goal and at least offered something threatening. Wasn't anything special but was a sort of standard performance where he didn't look out of his depth and made us a better unit. Can handle it at this level with his awareness and ability.

Made a couple of shocking passes and had a couple of * shots, 2 reasons it was the correct decision not to start him.

No one could have foreseen how far below his best Bernardo would be, that was without question his worst performance in a Celtic strip.

    Stating a fact..

At least he wasn't dying to get rid of it after 1 second and hiding. He'd at least show and turn out of trouble..

More than can be said for the starting three amigos..
