That would be the big issue. Is he match sharp enough having not played in 5 weeks? Massive boost that he is available at least although whether he should and or can start and play most of the game only Ange and his staff will know. The fact there is the potential for extra time I am sure will factor into their thinking as well.

 

I'd rather start him on the bench and bring him on around 60 mins. Hasn't played in over a month so won't be match fit and that mob seem to do better in the second half of these games. He would be an excellent player to bring in and control the game. Starting might be a bit too much for him the now as we seen with Mooy. These games are chaotic and frantic at times.

Jota is a must start though

 

Not really he's been training all week and we train at high intensity.

 

Don't get the reservation. A month isn't a huge amount of time to be out and he's had a full week of training. Get the big man started.

 

Difference between training and being actual match fit. It's why we play pre season friendles and not just training

 

Depends on why he was out surely. It was a strain or pull of some sort was it not? That might be a consideration here.

He's been out for 5 weeks.. About the same time between season end and pre season. Don't players usually come into pre season unfit and sluggish?

 

I’d start Jota but go with Iwata O’Riley and McGregor
