His name is Reo and he's Star man of the week.

He going to eat huns for lunch and * them out as we speak.

    Needs a bit of work.

Terrific talent and really has it all as a central midfielder. Passing, shooting, vision. Everything. And he can get better. Only slight criticism as can overwork the ball and get caught sometimes. Did it against the Huns when Kent went upfield and scored. But improves on that and we will have a world class player on our hands.

I'm Japanese on this forum, and I'll try to add some Japanese information on Celtic and Celtic players.

Each Kanji (=Chinese letters) have a meaning. So, each Japanese family name has a meaning too.

Hatate is written 旗手. 旗 = flag, 手 = hand, and 旗手 (Hatate) means "flagbearer" or "Standard-bearer"

Do you think his family name is good family name for a playmaker footballer?

Hatate used to be a forward / striker when he was playing for his high school team and university team. Kawasaki (the J-League club for which Hatate was playing till he joined Celtic) was making Hatate play as fullback and midfielder. He is very versatile. In a Japanese interview(not very recent one, though), Hatate was saying "I don't want to forget I was (or am?) a forward / striker even when I'm playing as a midfielder", or something like that. I want to see him keep scoring a lot for Celtic just like he did in recent games!

I'd say it's the last name a captain should have. Imagine Hatate captaining Celtic.:88::party22:

Haha, I like his family name. Hatate = flagbearer and it means his ancestors were Samurai!. In Edo era, when his family name was made, only 7% of Japanese were Samurai (and most = 85% were farmers). Japan has numerous family names and Hatate is a very rare family name. According to Japanese family name dictionary, there are only 780 Japanese people whose family names are Hatate, and it's 9,591th common Japanese family name. By the way, Japanese national football team is called "Samurai Blue". So, there is another reason for which Hatate should play for the national team!.

It's about time he embarrasses their GK again.

I'm hoping that Jota, Maeda and Hatate all rip the * out of them on Sunday...those three are critical to our style of play.

Jota and Maeda on fire helps afford Kyogo even more space to move.

Hatate buzzing everywhere with his energy allows the likely pairing of Cal and Mooy to dictate our tempo.

Getting * pumped for this...I really want us to play to the level we know we can. Example being that 60 minutes we put in against Real Madrid...play to that level and we utterly ruin any domestic opposition.

Do all last names containing "hata" come from samurai families?

Hata can be written by use of different Kanji, not only 旗 = Flag. Different kanji means different meaning.

You asked me Japanese family names, so I will write about family names of Kyogo and Maeda too. Kyogo's family name is Furuhashi. It's written 古橋. 古 = old, 橋 = bridge, so Kyogo's family name means "Old Bridge". Maeda is written 前田. 前 = ahead / in front of, 田 = rice field. Those family names were given to their ancestors for their locations, occupations, etc, I guess. First names can be more interesting in that the first names are "messages" from their parents to them. However, it's off topic and it's going to be long and complicated, so I'll stop here:p

This guy honestly, plays a different sport to the majority of the other players in this country. Absolutely embarrassed their midfield today.
