    i reckon it'll be the obligatory 3 goal away in europe defeat

    edit: i'll be amazed if kayal plays in this game, i think its important that he doesn't

    I've been told that the meetin point is at the O'Connells irish pub in the city centre before the game.

    plus after the game, rennes is well known for its thursday student nights out, will be deadly!

    To be honest lost all enthusiasm for the EL just now. That'll change by Thursday I know and wish I was going but finances say it's not possible.

    I'd drop Kayal and Hopper for their half arsed efforts against Kilmarnock. If they don't perform in the SPL they don't get a chance in the Europa that would be my rule.

    If I had an advice for Lennon, I would tell him to put four defenders and two defensive midfielders because the strikers of Rennes are very fast. The Rennes defense was the best of French championship last season so, it will be a good match :50:

    Zaluska will start because I think he will play the European games hopefully
    Cha plays because of his pace
    Rogne has been out for too long and IMO loovens is better Daniel majstorovic
    Matthews done ok at left back against killie
    Wanyama to protect the defence
    Midfield picks itself , except commons
    We need creativity so kris and Forrest to help stokes up front him self.
    A make shift line-up with all the injuries and the off form of some players im optomistic about this game. Im going for :
    1-0 stokes

    This would be my team. I would have Commons/McCourt drop in behind Stokes, as Stokes can't really play the lone striker. Need to play Wanayama in front of the defence and he has made a big impression every time i have watched him. If all this is true with Kayal then i would drop him, we need players who want to be here. Same goes for Hooper, i get the impression he seems to know he won't be dropped if he's fit, so he needs a kick up the *. If we want to be realistic about Europe this season then this is a must win game. I would be happy with a point though. If Stokes doesn't start then i want him to leave, he doesn't deserve to be dropped again.
