    Hello ! I live in Rennes, i'm breton ! I'm a Rennes fan & I'm happy to see your posts ! Thanks :)
    Effectively, Rennes is a breton club (the real name of the club is "Stade Rennais Football Club"), Brittany is one of celtic nation. As you, we like football ... and beer :) Slainte ! ("yec'hed mat" in breton language) =)
    The club that we hate is FC Nantes, "The canaries", as Norwich (but we don't hate Norwich ^^). The Nantes fans are very stupid, as the Huns ! They are arrogant and wicked ! But we are in a strong position because Nantes in Ligue 2, ahah !

    Do you know some Rennes players ? Which players do you like ?

    (Sorry for my poor language, i don't speak english very well)

    Yes I know of rennes hatred of the canaries, very ironic as Celtic have struck up a new friendship with Norwich! :56:

    I know Jonathan Pitroipa. I have never liked him that much though, going back to him playing for Hamburg (I watch the Bundesliga a lot) I just seem to remember him diving a lot.

    I think he played against Celtic for Hamburg a few years ago now as well.

    Welcome to the site O'Nando. I get to watch Rennes a fair few times as I get your league games here on tv. Always pulling for Rennes when they are on. What are you thoughts about Lorient? They seem proud of their Breton and Celtic heritage judging from the flags I see at their games.

    Rennes' best known player would be M'Vila, of course. Not that he'll be there for much longer...but you'll get a great fee, no doubt.

    Our best player is Yann M'Vila, international french, but also Kader Mangane, Jonathan Pitroipa ("The Cristiano Ronaldo of Burkina Faso" ^^), Benoit Costil, Jirès Kembo-Ekoko & Mevlut Erding ... good players ! ;)

    As Rennes, the FC Lorient are proud of their breton roots. I like this club, but RENNES IS THE MASTER OF BRITTANY !!! =)

    But I think Lorient si better than Partick Thistle ;)

    On of my knowledge, two players left Rennes for Celtic :
    Stéphane Mahé (in 1998), and Jean-Joël Perrier-Doumbé (nicknamed "the awkward" with us) ;)

    Amazing young player that can anchor the midfield or player center back. His only weakness is passing which is average. We would be talking 10mil ish and he has made noises about wanting to join the English Premier League 'in the future' so you would have to offer him more than the teams from their that are after him.
