Griff hasn't done enough for you to warrant being the out and out starting striker..? :56:

We need to bring in a new striker irregardless, in theory this guy should be pushing on and challenging Griffiths to either make him better or to take his place

Like it, would like to see Biton try and recapture some form in CDM and Ajer as well to come through. Not too fussed over Joe Allen.

Not convinced Janko is the man for right full. From the handful of times I've watched him he's been pretty poor. Might be harsh considering he hasn't had a run of games though.

I hope he start integrating Henderson into the team properly, really rate him. Really curious to see what Rodgers has in mind for our midfield, as far as I'm concerned Brown and Bitton are must starts in midfield at their best so it'll be interesting to see if he fancies them or if he can get them both back to their best.

I'm Henderson's biggest fan, I completely love him. Insanely good player for his age - if he wants it enough when he comes back he could be better than Tierney for us.

His time at hibs he's been seen as more of a number 10, understandable. For Celtic, he's a centre mid though, what he lost in his game at his was drive and determination as he was thought of as the number 10 playermaker.

Get him back here he will be trying his * heart out, there will be no swagger, technically Henderson is the best youth player we have produced since Mcgeady.

If he adds work rate and general Mcginn qualities he will be up there with Mcstay, he is that good.

I completely agree about Henderson anytime he's played for the first team I have always been impressed he was ready to play for us this season no way he should have been sent on loan I really hope he takes it to the next level now & also hope he gets a haircut.

    Would love to see:

    Gordon

New RB Erik New CB Tierney

    Armstrong New CM Henderson

    Roberts Griffiths New Striker

Id sell Bitton I like him but he's too slow to move the ball around which would not suit Rodgers style of play

    GK: Gordon, Baily, Fasan
    RB: Lustig, Janko
    CB: Erik, Jozo, Charlie, Boyata
LB: Tierney, New Guy (Izzy is off, right?)
CM: (MID3) Brown, Bitton, McGregor, Johansen, Rogic, Henderson
    RW: Roberts, Forrest
    LW: GMS, Christie
    ST: Griffiths, Scepovic, Stokes

Anyone else, should be sold. And from that 25 man squad we need to pick the best 11, then get rid of the weakest and build upon that. Likes of Johansen, Boyata, Scepovic, Stokes, Forrest, all could be punted to make way for better players.

Also the GK area needs seriously looked at. If Baily isn't here to push for the jersey, then punt him and Gordon and bring in a new GK, preferably one with some age on his side - Areola on loan at Villareal this season. With Trapp and Sirgiu both at PSG, is there space for a 23 year old French man?

He played a tonne of football for Liverpool this season but I think a signing from them could push Jordan Ibe out the team, I'd like him in on loan. Him on one side and Roberts on the other is deadly.

Some talk of Ashley Williams, which is a real long shot but who knows.

Brown in, if back to his best. If not he must be dropped.

    Gordon

    Flanagan Sviatchenko Williams Tierney

    Ajer

    Brown Allen

    Roberts New Striker Ibe

Can't believe how many people are leaving our 40 goal striker out the team.

    Squad:

GK: Gordon, Baily, Fasan (Maybe get a new GK if Bailly and Fasan aren't going to push on)
RB: Lustig, Janko (wouldn't be against getting another RB in if Janko doesn't prove himself soon)
CB: Erik, Jozo, New CB, Charlie, Boyata
    LB: Tierney, New LB
CM: Brown, Bitton, McGregor, Johansen, Rogic, Henderson, Ajer
RW: Roberts, New WF (left or right)
    LW: GMS, Christie
    ST: Griffiths, New ST

We need a ST, a LB as cover for KT, a WF and a CB (if we get rid of Efe and possibly Boyata)

The holding DM will be pivotal to this team, whoever that may be. It's hard to tell yet whether BR can mold one of our existing CMs into that role and I haven't seen enough of Ajer to make a judgement yet so I don't know if a new CM is urgent just yet.

    Starting 11

    Gordon

Lustig Erik Jozo/ New CB KT

    Rogic Brown Johansen

    Roberts Griff New WF

Listening to his philosophies on how to play and watching back some old Liverpool games, Rodgers' style may well have the stuff we need to compete both domestically and in europe.

Domestically we obviously expect to win, but often we've found ourselves having to grind out 1-0's against teams who are camped in and defend for 85 out of 90 minutes (crucially they normally * score in their 5 minutes of pressure). But with Rodgers, he's built his style around exactly this - dominating possession, playing high up the pitch with patient, but decisive passing to cut a team to shreds. Hopefully this means we'll stop the silly home draws, the boring 1-0's and get back to dominate displays with big scorelines and a bit of swagger.

With a small adaption in formation and maybe style, we can take to Europe in a similar mantle - even if it's just being brave on the ball, comfortable in possession and not turning it over to the opposition at will. At home especially, having this confidence, even against bigger teams, the whole thing will start to put the opposition in an uncomfortable position allowing us to hopefully pounce on any unrest.

We have players to play this style, guys like McGregor, Rogic, Roberts, Griffiths - they have good technique, but also like to have the ball and have the vision for a clever run or a shifty wee pass.

If nothing else, with a young manager like Rodgers, with something to prove after liverpool, i think this job is perfect for him. He doesn't need to worry about egos as he's probably the bigger name at the club. That should help him galvanise the squad and get them to buy into his way of playing. This is crucial as his game is all about playing for each other, putting the work in, but also being a unit, understanding each other's games and playing to the positives.

The last time we had that level of understanding was Commons, Stokes and Hooper. The three had such an understanding. I'm sure we've got the basis of that at the club, just need the tactical coaching to help bring out the best...plus maybe one or two key additions.

I still believe that players from the Dutch, Belgian, Danish, Portuguese, Mid table German teams, eastern europe such as Croatia and Russia is where you will find value for money. The EPL is madness and maybe if we qualify for the champions league someone like a Joe Allen could be a marquee signing. I do believe however that we can pay a bit more for players now with Rodgers here so plenty of value out there. The world is a big place.

I think griffiths on the left and roberts on the right of a front 3,would be a serious goal threat. We would need to buy a more central threat than christie though

Fisher and O'Connell might do a job for us. Cifti Nisbett Stokes and Scepovic are due to return. Not sure if any of the last group will be good enough but I'm sure Brendan will have a good look at them before spending
