I'll go for West Ham or Tottenham as they look for someone to replace Dimitar.

I liked the look of Mozart. Can't remember if it was Moscow or Donetsk he played for. Maybe a bit old though. Here's another one who would probably be pretty cheap: Sinama Pongole (spelling, I know!). Great touch, in a relegated team who are broke. Could be picked up for peanuts. If we were to cannibalise Scottish teams (again), I'd love Fletcher here, plus Kenneth of D. Utd and maybe two out of MacDonald (Dundee), McCarthy (Hamilton) and Cowie (ICT). Cheap options, too.

The BBC rumours page has Jimmy Bullard rated at £2.5 million which is WELL within our price range. Sunderland and some other shiters interested.

Might send Peter Lawell a wee text to check up on this ;)

i read a article on crouch other day.... he says he needs to be playing regularly so he can play for england... and we all know what the english think of the standard of our game. so i cant see him moving upto glasgow. even with capello as boss.. whats his opinion of the spl. gretna cant be doing us any favours....

as someone pointed out yesterday bullard left wigan for fulham to be closer to his family in london so doubt he'd fancy moving to glasvegas

Can we forget the crouch thing?? it will NEVER happen! He's on 37k a wk at Lfc & ill be looking for an increase on that by all accounts

on about the 2nd page of this thread i was told in no uncertain terms we can only go for championship players so crouch zigic etc will not happen will they?? anyway if wgs is still in charge it'll be another influx of scottish average players adding to a squad of predominanty scottish average players!!

Wouldnt look too much into that though. When Savage wanted to leave Birmingham it was to "be closer to his family" however he actually ended up moving FURTHER away so there goes that point. :bbpd:

robbie savage is a *, he moved to a better club though so you can understand why he lied, dont think bullard did that, fulham are about to get relegated while wigan will stay up

Of all the names being bandied about he's the most realistic for me, we could afford his wages and i reckon if you went for him he'd have a decision to make as he's already done the provincial clubs in the Premiership route.

Capello will also choose England's players based on how good they are i.e. Beckham. The MLS is no better a league than the SPL no matter how * either is.

You may be right but he's within wage budget i'm only saying he's the most realistic of all the names that have been chucked in the ring for the reasons i already stated.

For us to get a fairly big player there HAS to be underlying mitigating circumstances e.g Sutton flopping at Chelsea, Hartson failing medicals elsewhere, Lenny being a boyhood fan etc etc and i just think if, and thats a big if, we were able to afford him he'd have a decision to make which is all you can ask.

the media played a huge part in beckham being picked... there is no doubt!
without the sort of attention he gets, he would just be another player...

it would really be a dream for us fans and surely for him either. and of course he could leave the premiership. tottenham aint a club who will play champions league but celtic will play ...so come on robbie

Defence wise how about players like-Danny Shittu @ Watford? man mountain, very mobile, nigeria international & highly rated

or Walter Samuel a Inter, gettin on,not been offered a new deal but would surely bring some much needed steel and experience to our weak back line

Walter Samuel-hate the *, but he's regarded quite high... Yepes, Andriy Rusol from Ukraine, Knezevic from Livorno...
