What other team in the last 20 years has played 100% attacking football and been successful ? It happens in the bullring but the bull always dies.

None come to mind except Barcelona. Ajax in the 70s. I love Ange but he needs to be realistic when it comes to Europe and what is needed for Celtic at present. His project works well in Scotland but the CL is a different ball game and one with fine margins. Celtic are going to need time and experience in Europe to get positive results in the CL to be able get past the first stage of games in the future.

 

Any team klopp has managed. The way he built dortmund from absoloute * to the most attacking and devastating team iv ever witnessed was something special. At that time it was all Barcelona passy passy possession football. He then tore that philosophy apart by humiliating them. Suddenly teams looked to press and try to copy him. Anyway it shows it can be done. Can it be done on our budget though? It'll take time anyway.

 

There have been plenty of teams that have done well with attacking football - sadly, we seem to have a habit of drawing most of the up-and-comers during our European travails.

I'm not suggesting we can build a team of world-beaters, but we can build something to rival the likes of the Atletico's, Leipzig, etc. of the world... a technical team that has universal ability and belief, and can give the biggest-boys a * nose on their day!

But yes, I take your point - Ange does need to concede and learn to batten-the-hatches when appropriate!

 

We need to splash cash ala Edouard to get a clinical striker if Kyogo or GG dosnt improve imo. I love them both, but we are amongst the top 10 teams in the CL when it comes to chances created. We need someone to take those chances.
