I'm the same as the OP I have a load of Sports biographies sitting ect, just can't read them. So much so, for three years in a row for English when we had to do an essay on a book, I done mine on "Henrik Larsson: A Season in Paradise" all three years. I seem to read a ton of articles and stuff on the internet though. Don't know why I can't bring myself to read a book.

I watched the Girl with the Dragon tattoo movie trilogy before i started to read the books and i loved the movies but as i started to read the first 4 chapters of the the 1st book i realized i was bored. Maybe that's a generation thing, maybe that's to do with me having the attention span of a chimp, i don't know. But if there's a movie option available of a book, i'm having that. No Movie has been able to capture Wuthering Heights in it's correct form for me though and don't try and make movies out of Burroughs or Kerouac books please

I'm not really a big reader but have read most of the classics. The first book I actually enjoyed by J.D Salinger, Catcher in the Rye. Autobiographies are good as well! My main interest in books is crime, particularly organized crime and gangsters. Read the Paul Ferris books, Tam McGraw and Arthur Thompson and that, really good reads! Currently reading about The Iceman Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer, so far so good.

Paul Ferris books a cracker. You'd probably like the Liverpool crime books too as it's pretty much all linked to Glasgow as well

Yeah they are excellent! I am looking forward to seeing his film as well despite the negative reviews it got. Will need to look into the Liverpool scene as well, can't get enough of those kind of books! There's a good book about the Mexican crimelord Joaquin Guzman or 'Chapo Guzman' and he's in the top 10 most wanted by the FBI, it is unbelievable how powerful this guy is, he's basically the modern day Pablo Escobar.

Read about him. He's meant to supply all of Chicago. Ross Kemp gets ripped into but i liked most of his books and documentaries. Except the ones about the troops :38: Different thread tho that one:86:

Yeah Guzman has an estimated wealth of 2 billion dollars haha, he just runs the show. Most powerful gangster in the world right now. I quite like Ross Kemp's books, particularly the one about him visiting all those mental cities, crazy stuff!
