Probably nothing that hasn't already been said but just celtic away in Europe performance, doesn't seem to matter who the manager is or what lkayers are there. Just us to a tee completely. Every bit as sickening tonight as every past one was and every future one will be

A wee stat and not sure if anyone's interested.
In the 3 games we have had 38 shots, 15 on target and scored 2, the opposition have had 33 shots 11 on target and scored 7.

We are super wasteful in front of goal, but on a plus we are creating lots of chances.

We dwarf Madrid and Leipzig majorly on financial terms, both teams have spent more on 1 player than the cost of our whole team, not sure what the Ukrainian market s at at present, re the recent happenings but before that they had a bigger budget than us but no where near the likes of the other 2

Yeah take it easy man, us English * are no bad.

If anything it takes more unrepentant Fenianism to be an English Tim than a Scottish one :86:

Bang on,as time goes on im losing more and more faith in hart.Im starting to think if it was anyone else he would have been drop,d by now.
Its like because he has played at the highest level in England and had a bit about him(a while back)then he is untouchable.

We need to change our approach to each individual opponent in Europe

Ange told the world at the start of the season that he won’t change tactics, so they know how to play us. Fair enough in Scotland, but it’s hurting us in European competition.

He needs to and has to adapt.

We continue to give away goals and gilt edged chances without making the opposition work for them.

We were exposed countless times tonight when we lost the ball, they were able to play 2 passes and they were through on goal.

I love Ange but we simply do not have the players to play this style at CL level on a consistent basis. We can still be attacking but there has to be a bit of pragmatism at times.

Just feel like we rush everything and mostly to our detriment. Hart sprinting to take every goal kick before our players have even managed to get into position. When we are away from the home and well in the tie, our experienced players have to shown some leadership and manage the game. We take too many needless risks that ultimately backfire on us.

We never really got our attacking game going after the equaliser either. Jota took his goal extremely well but felt he was a passenger for most of the game and Maeda just isn’t good enough for this level.

I'm with honda in the glass half full camp. We're always gonna be frustrated over 90 minutes when we don't do ourselves justice, but the levels we're at now are far ahead of what we've seen over the years in Europe. We weren't even in games (see sevco last night) away from home for many years, whereas now we are holding our own in these fixtures.

The team are still developing, and the manager is still cutting his teeth at this level. We get back into the CL next year and absolutely we are in a position to really push on from.

    Patience required...

Maeda looks like lightning up against diddy hammer throwers, up against natural athletes hes doesn’t stand out. Agreed on shakhtar they’re pish and won’t pick up another point on this group imo. If we can somehow beat leipzig we go into the shakhtar game with a chance of securing second place that night

We've got no chance of 2nd place now.

One of their players, im guessing a striker has played 9 games and scored 8. You simply do not get that for 5 million and that is our down fall....money.

Watched the 20 or so. Doneskt were just happy to see out a 2-1 loss. Don’t see why teams do that just throw everything at it last few mins nothing to lose. Glad they lost though.

How is that? We have our 2 most winnable games coming up next. Tonight wasn’t good enough but there is 3 pts in it with 9 to play for.

They had one decent chance that I saw when the keeper got under it and they could've easily scored..

Madrid should've scored 2 or 3 through Benzema at the end though, fluffed a couple and Asensio hit the post at the death..

Probably tells us that it'll be hard against them at Celtic Park. No one is battering them..

Someone said earlier that we'd have to beat Leipzig 3-0 or better at Celtic Park to have any chance finishing 2nd.

Tbh go for it next week and see what happens, do think they'll beat us again, but would be happy for consolation of 3rd even.

Yeah it will be a tough game they will be sit in like a Livi but actually have the players to counter when it’s on. Tbf we should have scored 3/4 against them away…that was 2 points dropped massively.

If it came down to h2h then yes but if we win our next 2 games and they lose to Mardrid we will qualify no matter what happens in the last games of the group. That’s if Madrid win next too.
