If we drop points on Saturday I’m seriously beginning to call for a change. The last 3 performances have been diabolical.

They can, although it'll be more difficult away from home.

Despite his mistake leading to a goal, McGregor going off had a big impact on this game. Possession was more or less even at that stage and we had created more chances. But when he went off, we lost any semblance of control, and not having Mooy also didn't help, as he's very good at keeping the ball and making the right pass. It's very clear that Abildgaard is still getting up to speed, from both a tactical and fitness perspective.

Also, having Abada and especially CCV back would could make a big difference.

Hate to be critical of Ange, he got dealt a bad hand with our 2 first choice CBs being out, but he's the manager, so he needs to manage that situation.

For me he didn't, he just pressed ahead with his same high risk strategy that causes us problems even when the full squad is available.

I admire a man who has the courage of his convictions, but I'm also starting to see some "* mindedness".

If Ange can't adapt his style for specific games and specific situations, then he's probably taken us as far as he can.

As much as we gave it a go, I thought we were dreadful all over the park tonight. Overrun in midfield, carved open in defence, and very little from wide areas.

I don’t think it really ever works it just ends up with the game passing him by. We maybe don’t want to change our principles but you have to be cute and know when to be more compact as a three.

These teams have players who are better than ours, that’s a fact and there’s no shame in admitting it. So you need to know what your going to do to try and match up.

My main annoyance is we again have given up two complete howlers of goals from schoolboy errors. The third is basic too a simple diagonal ball that we have an full back and winger not paying attention to their full back.

Seen this performance so many times over the years and we just never learn.

How we didn’t score in the first half, once again, is baffling. Then our 2 most experienced players make individual errors costing us goals. You can’t do that at this level and it’s clear that we are not a CL side.

I was worried about Welsh but thought he was comfortably better than Jenz tonight. However the overall problem is our centre defensive midfield. Ange needs to do something different imo.

A bit harsh with the racism, not required Sir.

My family all travel up from Henley to watch Celtic and they are English, as many on this forum are.

perhaps “that stupid * Hart” would have been more appropriate?

    Tactics wise its mental.

I keep saying it but how can we honestly think playing like this at that level is sustainable. Its suicide.

That’s making the fairly big assumption that Leipzig take points from Shakhtar or Real and that we don’t. We could still get 2nd, but based on this tonight, I’m not even that optimistic for 3rd any more.

    At this level I'd agree.

Worked tremendously well against the hun sat home but their *. Teams at this level are comfortable getting pressed and good enough to play through, round or over it

Because Ange is simply out of his depth at this level and not ready for the complexities of it yet, as is becoming abundantly clear. He’s a clever guy, so he’ll learn, but only if he has the humility to recognise his mistakes.

Not just good enough: actually inclined to play over or around, if the moment calls for it.

I know I got some stick for harping on about it a while back but we still look like a team of midgets playing against big strong athletic type teams - especially in Europe. One of the guys we were all worried about tonight (Welsh) was probably one of the few who could maybe get pass marks tonight. Worryingly, Hart had another * up and a few of the players we have came to rely on looking as though they aren't up for it. Need to get the finger out soon as we look to be in a bit of a rut just now.
