this game scares me more than Salzburg.

Would love it if, even by the splitiest of split pubic hairs, we get a draw.

That is what I would do, but Lustig will play and Morgan may miss out by McGregor playing wide and Mulumbu/Kouassi in the middle or even Christie.

 

Hoping to get at least a draw to make the return leg at Paradise a great atmosphere.

 

The question is, can we kill the game early and have it done and dusted in the first half.
Leipzig are a solid team, but they lost two big players in the Summer and maybe haven't recruited players at the same level, or are getting into the team.
They play 4-4-2 a lot of the time, so it'll be a good game. Big atmosphere also plays into it.
Right now we go up the pitch to score goals, not just keep the ball. So i think we can win, but also keep a clean sheet.
It will not be easy unless you make it easy by scoring first and shocking them with a second.

 

Here's hoping our recent form gets us up for this game.

Gonna be tough though, real tough, and am wondering about the semi more.

 

Its sad that its come to a lot of people just hoping we dont get skelped

I obviously want us to win everything, all the time but if we're being dominated by half time we should switch our focus to the semi final and consider resting a few key players in preparation.

We'll obviously be 3-0 up by 25mins though

 

A draw here would massively change the feel around the return game and the rest of the group. If we can somehow get 4 points from these 2 games, then we go away to Rosenborg on 7 points. Get 3 over there and we head into the final game at home to Salzburg, out for revenge, a bawhair away from qualifying. The atmosphere would be unbelievable.

 

We should be confident over the last couple of game's that we can go and score 1 or 2 out there and with Boyata and Benkovic at the back, we have a more solid defence, drastically than Hendry anywhere near it..

Forrest is a big miss..

We'll pump Hearts. They can only beat us on their patch when they stopping cutting the pitch for weeks and refuse to water it. On the big Murrayfield pitch we'll hammer them.

Can't see anything other than a defeat in Germany. Defensively we're pish and they will exploit that.

 

I have a bizarre feeling that we’ll get a result away.

 

I'm usually more optimistic/naive than most when it comes to our chances but the collapse at Salzburg is still fresh in the memory and the loss of 2 poor goals against Hibs does nothing to inspire me with confidence.

I don't think I'll be able to be confident of us getting a result in Europe until we see Lustig removed from the starting XI.

 

The thought of Timo Werner drifting out wide left and having a run at Lustig is the stuff of nightmares.

In fact even if he stays central and runs by/behind the two CB's, still frightening.
