I 100% agree, to me we should sign one of those wingers and Kvistgaarden regardless of Kyogo’s status. I think it would give us great versatility in the front 3.

Kyogo, has shown he can be effective playing wide or just off another striker, Maeda can play wide or through the middle, Kvistgaarden can play wide, off a striker or the main role, then you have Kuhn wide right, another winger to do the same of the left and when fit again a veteran James Forrest to see out games or play an hour here and there.

I don’t think it is all the clubs fault as the new scheduling in Europe and the window let’s face it isn’t working well by the looks of it for most clubs. However, we are clearly poor at the process of recruiting players and the time it takes us to get deals done. We also come across as very short sighted in our squad management.

The 22-year-old is on a list of targets as Brendan Rodgers looks to freshen up his squad for the remainder of the season and potentially Champions League knockout round games.

Moro, a Spain Under-21 international, has caught attention with performances for struggling Real Valladolid with four goals and two assists from 19 appearances this season.

Ajax have already confirmed their interest in the winger, and an £8.5m transfer fee has been reported as required to sign the player.

Celtic boss Rodgers has said that he would like to add new faces this month, but after his side’s 3-3 draw with Dundee on Tuesday, he said there were no imminent signings.

Moro spent time as a youth player at Espanyol and Barcelona but moved to Lazio in 2019. He played 20 games for the Serie A club but was put out on loan spells to Ternana, Real Oviedo, and then Real Valladolid.

That move was made permanent last summer, and Moro has been a success with the Spanish club, which is owned by former Brazil star Ronaldo. Valladolid is said to be considering selling the winger to invest in other areas of the team.
