:56:This is by far the most outrageous transfer rumour of the summer next it'll be R.Madrid with 5mil and C.Ronaldo swap for McCourt..

i dont see why the current champions league holders who possess quality throughout would want to loan one of our fringe players . i have nothing against ras infact i actually like him but i think there is better players now in the team than him .

This story is gash to be honest but I would want to see Rass given a chance here every time I have seen Rasmussen he has been pretty good he has a decent goalscoring record with Celtic for the amount of time he has been on the pitch. He is also one of the only out and out goalscorers at the club along with Hooper.

I have watched pretty much every pre-season game or seen the highlights and think I only saw Rasmussen play against Arsenal and St Pauli so I feel that Lenny doesn't fancy the big man which is a shame in my opinion.

Morten Rasmussen and Marco Fortune could be next out the door at Celtic as Neil Lennon’s summer revolution continues.
SportTimes can reveal that Danish striker Rasmussen was today in Germany on the verge of sealing a season-long loan move to Bundesliga side FSV Mainz.
And West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo is set to test Celtic’s resolve by tabling a £2.5m bid for Fortune.
Rasmussen was informed he wouldn’t be involved in the first-team at Parkhead this season and was granted permission to try and find a new club – and he is now on the brink of joining the Germans.
Mainz are desperate to have the striker on board for their opening game of the season on Sunday at home to Stuttgart, and are aiming to conclude the deal in the next 24 hours.
Fortune could also be on his way back to West Brom, which would suggest Celtic are on the verge of bringing in another new striker.
Baggies boss Di Matteo is desperate to bolster his attacking options as he attempts to keep the Midlands club in the English Premier League after successfully winning promotion.
After opening up their domestic campaign with a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Di Matteo has told the West Brom board they must invest in the team now.
It’s understood he has received glowing reports from members of his coaching staff who worked with Fortune during his loan spell at the Hawthorns under Tony Mowbray two seasons ago.
And SportTimes understands West Brom will now table an offer of around £2.5m for the 29-year-old.
That would represent a significant loss of £1.3m in a year after Celtic shelled out £3.8m to land him from French side Nancy last summer.
He has featured regularly under Lennon, who has deployed him wide on the right, but it is unlikely Celtic would turn down a hard cash bid for Fortune if they still had time to spend it on more new recruits.
Despite making nine new signings, Lennon is still keen to purchase another striker before the window shuts, along with a goalkeeper and another centre-back.
He paid £2.5m to land Gary Hooper from Scunthorpe, but he has been ruled out for six weeks with a calf injury. He is still playing Georgios Samaras in attack despite the fact he was expected to be shipped out. Ben Hutchison was also yesterday farmed out to Chris Sutton’s Lincoln City on a year-long loan

We have to keep Fortune, let Rasmussen go out on loan though see if he can score some goals
