The last old firm game passed crosas by like most games do which is why he was hooked after the hour. You have to remember the rangers midfield that day was mculloch and a half fit mo edu and the game was at celtic park where we had to win. Play crosas he will be a passanger like he usually is in old firm games. Has to be brown and nguemo to protect the four offensive players we have ahead of them.

The slower pace during yesterday's game was caused by Dundee Utd trying to take the sting out of Celtic's play... That would have suited them if the pattern had continued and definately not us , but one thing the huns have added to their game in the last year is a high tempo closing down of players when the huns haven't got the ball , which has seen them running round like headless chickens , with their forwards and wingers tracking well back into their own half and kicking anything that moves..
We won't be able to control the pace of this game with it always being frantic in this fixture , so the passing has to be as clinical as it was against them in the Celtic Park game , and I'd expect there's going to be a fair bit of us having to concede ground in midfield at times and play the ball back to our full backs to hoof it up the park to relieve the pressure from the huns pressing game.. A neccessary evil in these games..
Im fairly sure TM wont entertain a Rasmussen-Keane starting 11 partnership because they are the two guys who play mostly in the central area in and around the penalty box , and playing both of them limits our options to then put a clinical striker on later in the game if chasing a goal.. It will almost certainly be Fortune and Keane once again which looks our strongest pairing as they are developing an understanding..
Can't see Crosas being brought back for this one.. Sadly I think he's the one to take the hit for an earlier defeat , the Hibs game it might have been where he completely shat out of one challenge to concede posession.. I think he'll need to bide his time again but if he were to get picked to play then I'd be happy to see him involved..

A win would be smashing to ram it right to them, it's still mathematically possible but the league's beyond us now IMO. Just need to string a good few wins together, play with confidence & without fear or pressure of failure. Then maybe just maybe. . . . . Nah anything else would be a bonus, I'm refuse to be one of those fans who completely lose the plot, overreact & demand changes when this season is over. Hail Hail

To be honest any Old Firm game can go either way, the fact it is at Ibrox favours the huns but I'm confident we can still win and stay right in this title race!

Am I the only one that thinks Boruc is too inconsistent this season and that Zaluska may be a safer pair of hands?

With OF games, it doesn't matter what has happened in any other game we've played, how the players have played recently, it's all down to what happens on the day, and anything can happen.

Hope Keane can put a few past them, we can behe'll get jeered to * by the manky mob if he sets one foot wrong, let's hope he can silence them.

"The best place to defend is in the oppositions penalty box."
We must follow this to the letter if we want to stand any chance of winning.

Hopefully their game being called off and us winning as rattled them and they lost their momentum, win and its some huge pressure on them.

At this moment in time all I can foresee is us playing them off the park and them nicking it :54: I think Fortune and Keane will run them ragged but our defence is still powderpuff, especially at set pieces.

This one is a proper must win, if we drew it the league is over.

I don't think he'll play both the kids, and Loovens is the better option out of him and O'Dea. Rogne looks like our most dominant defender and we'll need that.

    Mon the Hoops :shamrock:

This is the most nervous ive been for an OF game in a long time. I really can't wait. Would love an early goal and then they couldnt sit back and then Fortune and Keanes pace would cause them allsorts of problems.

TBH borucs last 2 performances shows hes hitting some form again, he made some blinding daves last week and his handling from crosses and general play was much better against DU, looked commanding not afraid to come out, was at the game and was impressed by him

Im not sure i agree with the comments saying that rangers must be feeling the pressure now, lets be honest, would we be feeling the pressure if we were 7 points ahead with a game in hand. I wouldnt be worried in that position. I agree with some of the posters, current form goes out the window in OF games and often the result goes against the grain of recent results.

I think we can win this game, but we have to be better at the back.

There's no doubting this game has goals in it and its because of this that I would go for this formation.

    -------------------------------Boruc
    Hinkel-------Thompson(Loovens if fit)--Rogne-------Braafheid

    ------------------------------N'Guemo
    McGeady---------------------(C)Brown-------------Kamara

    ------------------------Fortune-------Keane

    Subs:

    Rasmussen
    McGinn
    McCourt
    Crosas
    Thompson
    Zaluska
    Caddis

We have to go for it from the start and show these manky Hun * that we want it more.

If we do this I think we will win 2-1 with Keane and Fortune scoring. A win and their lead is temporarily cut to 4 points, then the huns will start to doubt themselves and the league is back on. I honestly believe we can do it!

    Totally Agree!

This reminds of the time Bellamy went to Ibrox and scored- that shut the huns right up!

Mon Robbie you can do it too!!

To be fair 1-0 to us- and whoever scores will be my hero!!!!!!!!!:50:
