THink this result could make our season?
After the 1st OF we lost our confidence and played pretty poorly, so maybe beating them today could give us more confidence, not to mention that we have won 3 in a row now with 3 clean sheets and with a few easier games coming up (Berwick in the cup, Hamilton in the league). This could set us up with the confidence needed for the final part of the season. I hope so anyway.

    Happy New Year!
Phew, what happened, another Neil Lennon hodge podge team took the field and the outcome was a very welcome and deserved win.
The enigma Samaras prior to his first well played and controlled goal had one good move a flick header for McCourt who almost scored Samaras was ineffective before that, then he gets tripped in the box and scores the penalty, so good for you Samaras!

Great efforts all around. Kayal was great - did he want a goal bad at the end or what! Rogne was brilliant! Sammy getsall the credit for taking his chance when it came and Pady kicking huns all over!
Boogy should have been sent off for the penalty. Shocked the ref didn't give them the the penalty for the dive by lafable!

Cannot wipe this smile off my face :icon_mrgreen:. Thought the start of the 1st half we were a bit nervy, but that was to be expected. Neither side took control in the 1st half, the 2nd half tho, what a performance from the mighty hoops. Rogne and Maj were solid today, Kayal also put himself about and was excellent. Great ball from Ledley for the 1st goal. As for Samaras, what a performance big man. Every player deserved to wear the hoops today. Lennon got it spot on :50:.

"oh, what a feeling I am still dancing on the ceiling", Now that lads was a Celtic performance to be proud of. The team stepped up today and showed what playing for the Hoops means I am so proud of them. Sammy what can I say ( I admit to being a fan who is infurated by you) today lead that line brilliant and bossed The scums centre defenders. Wonderful goal and great run for Penalty even thomson had to give that one.
The Centre defence of Celtic today wonderful Miller never got a sniff * have streaks of tears in his fake tan tonight. Mulgrew had a great game and his set peices were a big improvement on usual. The centre midfield Ledley and Kayal Put there foot in all over the place and won the battle in there. Paddy I saw him tackle and he was still going after 90 mins didnt get much chance to create ( 1 great ball for Forrest) but he occupied the midfield and freed room for others. Wee Jamie had the legs of whitekar and weir and put some great balls in. And izzy for his clearance off the line and wilson for constantly chasing back well done.

I am so proud and why is it an unexpected victorry is always so much sweeter?.

NL got it spot on this match well done Gaffer.4 points clear Happy New Year

Forster 7 Not much to do but coped well
Wilson 7 Helped out defensively and good going forward
Rogne 8 Outstanding never gave Miller a sniff had him in his back pocket all game
Majstorovic 7 Same as Rogne looked better today than in recent weeks
Izaguirre 6 Not involved much today but done nothing wrong
Kayal 8 Best performance in a Hoops jersey looks a player
Ledley 8 Same as Kayal looking back to what we expected when he arrived
Forrest 6 Kept Papac quiet most of the game but could have been involved more
Mulgrew 7 Delivery was excellent nice curveball from Lenny
McCourt 7 Worked his socks off today shows he has more than flair
Samaras 9 Outstanding best performance of his career imo not just his goals his all round play
McGinn 5 Never ha time brough on to kill time
Referee 7 Good performance from ref but why did Bougherra stay on the park after pen
Lennon 9 Got his tactics spot on in the second not the greatest first half though

    Happy Happy New Year

Got his tactics spot on! Mulgrew done well and added height and dangerous set pieces. Special praise to Kayal who looked superb! Great ball from Ledley for 1st and it showed at last what pace can do against that defence.

Five midfielders across the way to go against the huns as we've got better players!

They were so confident which makes it even sweeter!!:shamrock:
