R*ngers v Celtic ,18 September 2011.

We were terrible. Truly shocking that we could easily have lost 6-2 if that * lafferty hadn't missed a couple of sitters.

They looked better in every areas, think the defensive signings they made look quite shrewd, in comparison to ours anyway.

Who actually played well for us, apart from the guy who got himself sent off?

 

The team selection was wrong today imo.

To drop Ledley when he has worked so hard for us and played well against Rangers and also scored against them was unfair. Ledley can also create and make runs off the ball which of course pulls defenders away. He should have played today. without doubt.

Also thought Forrest or Commons should have been on. Samaras upfront kind of says it all really, like Charlie Nicholas said, the Celtic attack relies on whether Samaras will turn up or not and that is just NOT good enough.

 

????? Awful well prob half the squad has been awful. - Lennon is to BLAME for this defeat today nobody else. A rookie manager = rookie tactics and i use the word tactics loosely.

 

it made no sense to play samaras and hooper.if we are going to
defend then play 1 up front.if we attack we play stokes and hooper.
I love neil lennon and dont like critisizing him but we played right into
their hands today.tactics and selection all wrong,hope we learn from this.

 

we have just been slaughtered by our biggest rivals, did you expect them to be singing the entire game through? feel sorry for the fans that went, payed good money hopes built up at HT and then that happens.

 

i would have played ledley left mid tbh there is no way kris commons should have played today

 

Absolutely gutted about this, but you have to remember this was at ipox and they are expected to be stronger. Should we have won this.................no! We got outplayed and just have to except the better team won. The only thing that bothers me is the amount of changes made to a team just to play the huns.

These are the big games that Samaras has been kept for. The problem is, he has not kicked a ball (in my memory) since January. How he has managed to start two games in a row (never mind lasting 80 minutes today) baffles me. Though it's not (solely) his fault we got beat today. I was really dissapointed when i seen the team selection with both Sammy and Loovens. Delighted at half time, mystified at full time.

 

What point are you actually making? I Wouldn't have said that no...but I wasn't on here yesterday shouting 3-nil, easy easy either. I am a realist but not a cynic. Look at my post history of you wish. I don't think this is a one game thing as you say, I think this is the 3rd year in a row events like this transpire. I feel Rangers upped there game today and this seems to be something they have over us. A sense of spirit or something? Infact...no, experience. Experience of winning. I genuinely don't see what would rile you so much about my post. If you want to go on believing that Rangers are *, that we will pump them every-game, then do so. That's up to you.

I just feel a bit of humility (on this board) and action is needed to build our team spirit, to get our players to give all for the jersey. The huns did that today.

I agree with you 100%, it's almost like he's scared to make the change in the game.

 

They were * the whole game even when we were 2 1 up and have been * all season

Am i right in saying the last time Loovens was in the team against Rangers we lost four goals as well? At Celtic Park?

I'm not blaming this loss on him I'm just trying to think if this is right.

 

We just never turned up second half, we should have played 4-5-1, shocking decision to drop ledley

 

El Koudouri and mulgrew were our 2 best players in the 1st half, mulgrew should have been the one taken off for stokes though, even before he got sent off he was letting naismith go by him

 

you probably right there pal he should have been on the bench but he just doesnt look like the same play like we saw last season
